1. MSNBC says Obama leads Clinton by substantial margin in LA exit polls.
They said it was "too early to call" as opposed to the GOP they listed as "too close to call".

32. "too early to call" is code for they haven't figured out the phrasing for the up coming spin
Edited on Sat Feb-09-08 09:39 PM by nolabels
The only thing hard thing to figure out about the cadre of corporate media is why they think we don't know what their next move will be

7. Looks to be an 8% lead
For an exit poll, that is nowhere near enough to be certain of, especially after what we saw this past Tuesday.

8. Ah, OK.. I misread then. Fox is hinting its going to Obama. I had to watch cuz
Hannity was eviscerating Lanny Davis over being in denial about Hillary's campaign and chances.

So, I'm confused, to say the least.

15. I just checked their delegate selection plan
If Huckabee cracks 50%, he gets all the delegates. If neither cracks 50%, neither gets either delegates, they are assigned as uncommitted. Poll seems to show them both under 50%

4. She got 77% of the white vote but Obama got 85% of the black vote
Edited on Sat Feb-09-08 09:05 PM by jackson_dem
That is why she lost. Obama did better with folks of his color then she did with folks of her color. It is disconcerting but there is no way to pretend racial voting isn't occurring in the South. In every southern state so far big majorities have voted for someone of their color. How can this be so when they are the same on policy? Race is the only explanation.

10. That's what I said
but 8% is too close based purely on exit polls.

24. If you see it that way.
But then CA and AZ were blowouts. With proportional delegate allocation, 8% is not going to translate into a large delegate lead. If this were a blowout, they would have called it already.

27. Do you know how to read polling data?
You mentioned California for some reason. Go take a look at California's exit polling and compare it to LA. Then come back and tell me that LA is going to be close.

The reason they haven't called it yet is because less than 1% of the polling precincts are reporting. It is "too early to call", not "too close to call" and "Obama has a substantial lead according to exit polls" per Nora O'Donnell just as a I typed this.

22. Just like Georgia, Alabama, and South Carolina
Obama the "uniter" keeps winning the states with racial divides. The swiftboating of the Clintons on race has worked wonders.

26. I did. He won 88% of the black vote but 43% of the white vote
That is a difference of 45 points. It isn't due to policy because neither offers special race-based policies. They are the same on the issues that affect blacks and whites.

30. He doesn't in some southern states (GA was his best. He got 25% in AL, 23% in SC, and 23% in LA)
But the larger truth is in the states with a huge racial divide it is Obama who wins...
