17. Alll aboard
:toast: :bounce:

Oh I've been smiling lately,
dreaming about the world as one
And I believe it could be,
some day it's going to come

Cause out on the edge of darkness,
there rides a peace train
Oh peace train take this country,
come take me home again

16. I'm learning a lot about the various LA parishes...
For example, in Evangeline Parish, Obama is leading Clinton 57% to 35% with 25% reporting.

Interestingly, the demographics for this parish are supposedly as follows:
70% White
29% Black

19. Where did you find the parish breakdown?
I'm curious about St Tammany. Usually I can count on them to disappoint and embarrass me.

23. Sure, just go to CNN and look at "county results"
Edited on Sat Feb-09-08 09:52 PM by Kristi1696
Here:
http://www.cnn.com/ELECTION/2008/primaries/results/county/#val=LADEM3

I happen to be looking at page 3 of 7 right now. :)

ETA:
That parish is 52% to 43% Obama right now, with 1% reporting.

22. He also has tremendous support in Iberia Parish
68% to Hillary's 25% with 15% reporting.

According to Wikipedia, that Parish is:
65% White
30% African American

25. St. Mary Parish 71% to 23% for Obama
With 35% reporting :wow:

Supposedly:
63% White
32% Black

Of course, I don't know the party affiliations of those people. But one could speculate that the white vs. black vote breakdown is not happening in LA!

It is 56% to 37% for OBAMA, with 41% reporting!!

:woohoo:

Also a 2:1 white parish. Wow. I was not expecting Obama to do so well in the Northern parishes!!
