Out of nowhere, it looks like her only hope to win this outright is going to be dominant victories in Ohio and Texas and then I guess Pennsylvania in April.

Think she'll pull a Giuliani and hit Ohio and Texas extremely hard between now and March? I actually think it could be a strategy that works for her unlike Rudy.

1. she has pulled her ads in the states that she is not leading or very close
She used the Giuliani strategy in GA too. She cut off supporters and campaigners who were working the street. I heard a few of them complain to me in person on super tuesday

2. "Giuliani strategy "
Sounds like it.

But they will try to couch it in terms like "conserving resources".

4. No. We have proprotional representation.
Even losses yield delegates. The "who-wins-which-states" is a leftover, an artifact of another age.

But she will hit OH and TX very hard. She's also working to minimize any possible losses in MD and VA.

Tonight is a boost for the confidence of Obama partisans, but it is not a real big delegate mine. AFAIK, Tuesday will be bigger and more significant, testing the toiling proletarian masses who work within the Beltway.

5. With the delegate lead that Obama will have by then... she'll have to win Ohio and Texas 60-40 or...
better...

6. The MSM will likely pick up this terminology soon enough. "Giuliani stragety" sounds good.

8. A few of her most vocal "supporters" on DU keep pointing to OH and TX
just like Gouliani pointed to FLorida as his big stand. I think if Obama wins one or both they will then point to PA and say Obama can't possibly win there.

16. Also PA - Big states, lots of delegates, well ahead in the polls
Clinton is running her campaign wisely, focusing her funds and efforts where they're needed.

Texas polls Clinton 48 Obama 38

Ohio polls - Clinton 42 Obama 19

Pennsylvania polls - Clinton 40 Obama 20

9. she's already doing it. Hopefully, like Rudy, she'll concede so she can ...
... spend more time with 9-11 and the Patriot Act

10. She's gotta make an attempt at Virginia and Maryland
but personally I think she should just cut her losses and head to Wisconsin. She has no chance in any of those states.

14. If pointing out the failures of Clinton's campaign makes me a Linda Tripp fan...
Then over half of DU must be Linda Tripp fans.

13. Just curious as to why you think that it could work for her...
My Father-in-law was positive that Giuliani was going to take the momentum because of Florida, but after the other states voted, he was seen as a - well - loser...so no one wanted to vote for him once they got to Florida, cause people want a winner...

Same here (IMO)...if Obama sweeps big time all of these states - the 4 today (done), Maine tomorrow, DOC, VA, and Maryland on the 12th, and gets Hawaii and Wisconsin (that's the most iffy besides Maine)...

by the time March 4 rolls around, I don't think that she is going to stand a chance...just because of how all those wins, over a month's period of time are going to be perceived...

15. Eh, you're probably right
If she doesn't win any states the rest of the month, she'll be down 24 states for Obama to only 11 for her. She probably WILL be branded as the loser.

17. It's already her strategy. Good luck with that.
You never know - she has a lot more resources and a lot more favors to call in than Rudy did, so it's possible. But if Obama keeps piling on the victories - and not just victories, but blowouts - it's going to be hard. Very hard.
