Chicago Dem politcal machine hi-jacking Dem Party ?
Does anyone think that this campaign is merely Chicago Dem political machine, backed by Hollywood support(Geffen, Oprah) trying to hi-jack the Dem nomination and become the dominating power in the Party?

4. Look at the big wigs backing Obama
He claims to be an underdog, while being backed, from the start, by the Chicago machine and mid-westerners like Daschle

14. Can you provide a bit more on this conspiracy.........
just would be helpful for you to make a case based on more than very few random facts sewn up together to equal to nothing, unless you have quite a bit more.

I could retort to you that the Clinton's have upcoming heavy baggage according to this.....and it is not just a loose set of unsourced opinionated facts:

24. Against the poor little HRC, supported by the Clinton machine
The Chicago machine is basically in Chicago - the Clinton machine has been the dominant force in the party since 1992. I really have a HARD time seeing the soft spoken Daschle as the bogeyman.

38. Just commenting that the latest Clinton spiel is that Obama is the establishment candidate
She is the establishment candidate that is why we were told to shut up and accept her as the inevitable nominee - which she still may be , but she will still be the establishment choice.

you give the Chicago "machine" far more credit than it deserves. If this post were from 1968 instead of 2008, it might sound believable. But not today.

Still, no one has been able to explain the media fawning over the 1st term senator from Chicago whose major achievement was community organizing, whatever it means.

As a Chicagoan, I take extreme offense at your blanket statement about this city. It isn't perfect, but no place is. And to tar the city as you have done is just wrong.

13. Yes, it's true. There's no doubt...
..that when you think of sheer, raw political power to the degree needed to move the entire country, that Chicago is the first thing that comes to mind. How a humble, rural bumpkin from the naive, innocence soaked heartland of lil' old Washington DC could ever hope to compete against the political juggernaut of Chicago is beyond me.
