I have a Serious and Wonky question |
|
Has Hillary made any attacks on Obama since, say, NH?
I consider an attack any kind of aggressive statement, from "Obama didn't vote for bill X" to "Obama is a low-down, four-flushin', cattle-rustlin' varmint" all the way to "Obama eats babies."
I haven't heard very much from her that is adversarial at all lately. Except for the Town Hall on Hallmark, she has not been very active in the media at all. Obama, however, is making some attacks that are making it to the news, although they are mainly measured and factual. This is not a particularly bloody race, in spite of our own idea of "fun".
It's possible I am overlooking them, so this is a reality check for me, too.
Can anyone point to particular instances of attacks and criticisms over the past few weeks? (If you want to point out Obama "attacks", feel free, but please, information, not rancor.)
I'd like to repeat, please shift from Partisan to Wonk for this one. I'm curious about the lack of aggression, especially from Hillary, who is usually as fierce a fighter as they come.

1. I think they have both been better, starting at that last debate. |
|
And I admire both of them for it.

4. Bill's been her attack dog ... |
|
and the Bull Connor act didn't sit well with most people of color in South Carolina.
As for Hillary personally, I think she's tried to let surrogates do the dirty work, and then claim to be above it all, or cry that she's being assailed by misogynists who don't want to see a woman elected president. Spare me the victimhood, Ms. $5 Million Personal Loan Lady ...

7. because when either have them have said anything that could be |
|
construed as negative... their poll numbers go down.
It has proven to be a very bad thing in the primary - even if their surrogates are sly about being negative, it backfires.
Nice, for once.
