Obama supporters: Superdelegates must follow the will of the people
Time passes.

Oh shit, what about MA, CA & NY? What about NJ?

What about all those large states with the most superdelegates that ended up voting for Hillary?

Personally I think its a bad idea to have superdelegates follow the states vote because

a) what would be the point of having them as a winner take all measure when all delegates are proportional?

b) How do you proportion votes from party leaders?

So let them vote, chances are they will pick the popular vote/delegate winner by the 2nd ballot.

2. It'll Come Down To How Many Jobs Bill Clinton Can Secure
with Ron Burkle for superdelegate family members.

A nailbiter, to be sure.

3. Maybe it's just me
but I don't see the point in having superdelegates if they're just going to mirror the will of their constituents.

Then again, I don't really think they're going to go against the will of their constituents en mass either, at least not in a primary with two viable, mainstream candidates.

6. I don't see a point in having them either.
It's just giving the party aristocrats a veto over the voice of the peasants, a situation I don't find acceptable.

Hopefully, the superdelegates will see the wisdom of voting with the people in this election - overriding the pledged delegates is sure to result in a Denver riot.

But for 2012, we need to eliminate superdelegates completely. Maybe switch to instant-runoff voting, so the people can vote for all of their chosen nominees, but still have a voice if their first choices get eliminated.

5. Barack's first position was to follow the states, then he, too, did the math.
Now, he says that the superdelegates he has, he should keep, but the rest of the uncommitted superdelegates should vote for the candidate with the post pledged delegates, overall.
This is all just another tactic being used by his campaign to "inspire" and "unify" his supporters around his victim status.
