Is campaigning on DU really going to help your candidate?
Edited on Tue Feb-12-08 10:45 PM by Dob Bole
People are posting a lot of crap of this forum right now. If you're one of those people, I declare that you are an asshat.

Apparently such asshats think that heckling one another on DU is going to affect the performance of their candidate in upcoming primaries, because everyone knows that Texas primary voters are all lurking undecided DUers. (!)

Examples of such kinds of threads are:

OBAMA VOTED AGAINST THE "DON'T SMASH KITTENS AMENDMENT"

HILLARY CRIES A LOT BECAUSE SHE'S A GIRL! I'M A GENIUS!

BABY BOOMERS ARE STINKY AND IRRELEVANT! OBAMA FOR THE WIN!!!

FOR YOU NEW IDIOT DUERS, HERE IS A GUIDE TO THE DLC

HILLARY SUPPORTERS, DO YOU DIE INSIDE WHEN YOU LIE?

REZKO REZKO BILLARY BILLARY!

None of these are actually helpful to anyone who frequents DU, and believe me, our minds are basically made up. If you are posting attacks on other candidates at this point, you need to get off of your anus (Huckabee was right about one thing...sitting in front of your computer all the time will make you amorphous and diabetic) and go outside, and recruit people to vote for your candidate. Or you can continue to hide behind the anonymity of the Internet and be a total jerk to all of your longtime friends and acquaintances on DU.

Go away.

2. Of course not....but too many "regulars"
it could be the flip of the coin :D

Probably why I voted for Edwards in Virginia today. Felt pretty damn good.

3. Agree that we need to keep focused on the general election
The Republicans will be much tougher on our nominee than either of our candidates has been to the other one.

The enemy is not a Dem. It is a Repub.

I remember all too well how people put down Gore in 2000. Our world would be so much better if they had fought for him instead of bashing him.

6. NO. But when I am not caucasing, delegating or promoting Obama...
it is a nice place to talk issues and visit the insane. Seriously there are a lot of intelligent conversations here if you omit GDP

7. That's true...
and I'm not trying to downplay DU (I'm grateful for it, since I live in a rural, conservative area) but I've notice a tendency for too much political calculation on the boards themselves. Maybe we are all activists in real life, and try the same thing on DU without thinking about it.

But probably not. Probably just asshats.
