The Repubs have their man. We know who the target is.

Obama and Clinton have completely different histories. There's no substantial generic attack. The Repubs can't run against the Dem candidate until they know which one it is.

I think we should let this thing run as long as we can...

In 8 years when I'm living in Costa Rica and laughing at all of you, you'll wonder why you kept supporting the same people to govern you.

I'll wonder the same, but I'll be too busy drinking pina coladas to really care....:)

In all seriousness, you support the status quo at your own peril...

5. I am glad you are here on DU to give Gravel a needed voice.
No matter who wins it will not be pretty here or even there
in this world. The economic and environmental battle to save or destroy
this planet will happen no matter where we are.

I read and look at all of the stuff you post on Gravel.

Thanks

3. I see your point.
And, on the surface, it's a good one.

However: No doubt the always-well-prepared GOP attack machine has had its ducks in a row on each for a very long time now. Probably the only people left scrambling will be... actually, no one on the Right will be left scrambling, as I'm sure the RW's big bloggers get their material straight from the GOP.

They're always better prepared than we are. And while waiting would leave them hanging on which candidate to start attacking in ads and the like, their pockets are deep enough that they could start attacking both now, and never feel a pinch.

So, I say, pick the goddamned nominee now, and put half the Dem party out of its misery. Whoever it is, the GOP is not going to be caught with its pants down. It never is.
