How soon can Kerry start challenging * to debates?
Sooner the better, but I assume Kerry has to wait until he's nominated at the convention. Bummer. :-( I really can't wait to watch Kerry taking * on! :D It also provides massive and free media coverage.

1. I can't wait for this.
The debates will be "must see TV".

Edited on Sat Mar-13-04 09:53 AM by DoYouEverWonder
just like he doesn't do testifying to the 9-11 commission. I doubt if W will do more the one hour's worth of debates, he a busy war president you know.

2. I Expect...
...that moron will do ALL E CAN DO to avoid a debate with JK. I expect a load of orange and red alerts right before scheduled debates and for them to be cancelled for the sake of National Security so our great leader will have the opportunity to look like a hero. Maybe he'll even wear his little sailor suit again!

3. After both conventions.
The great thing is that this is an "unconventional" year, and that the use of extreme commercials is actually becoming a debate. The American public is getting a taste of what is to come. I note with extreme pleasure that there are ZERO posts on here saying, "gosh, the president's looking good!" I admit that I am at times subjective, but I think that if we were in , let's say high school, it would be pretty obvious one kids is in for a whuppin'.

8. Bu$h will respond
that he is a war president and unfortunately he is too busy fighting the war on terra to take the time for monthly debates. Besides he still doesn't have enough money to get reselected yet.

There will be one debate a month before the election, where Bu$h will prescreen all the questions and no one will be allowed to go off script.

And as usual, make absolutely sure that not one speck of dirt gets on his shoes during the debate. El Presidente can't stand to have any dirt on him.

10. He just did so recently
And he did it at the same place the Lincoln/Douglas debates were held.
Kerry is showing a certain style and flare in this campaign. Challenging the latest and worse Republican to a debate in the place where the first Republican challenged a democrat to a debate during the most contentious time in our history, and the most critical time in its history is making a comparison that cannot be ignored. Bush will avoid debating Kerry at all costs and this will make him look very bad. He wil of course, demand all sorts of preconditions and be told the questions he will be asked directly so he can have canned speeches ready, rather than just know the general topic of each debate. Since Kerry was one of the best debaters to come out of the yeal debate team, Bush is not looking forward to this.
