Could Obama's success in the red states, and polls vs. McCain |
|
in the red states that show him winning, actually help further Howard Dean's 50 state strategy? If Obama were to win the Presidency, I would think that if the DNC were to remain persistent in their 50 state strategy, that maybe some of the light red and purple states might go light blue and swing future elections slightly in our favor.

Most, if not all, of those states are staying red.

The electoral map is not as static as people assume around here. Demographics and dislike for the incumbent party are in our favor, especially in places like Nevada, Colorado, and Virginia.

4. I'm not buying that with a John McCain as the Republican candidate.... |
|
Many in his own party can't stand him.... I think you are going to see many of the so-called red states turn blue come November....

7. I had edited it earlier to include VA |

I think it will definitely be blue this time around. I think Iowa is the most likely to turn blue though. Mostly because Obama finished first there in the caucus, and McCain finished well back in like 3rd or 4th.
