Explain something to me about this campaign season, Obama, Kerry, Hillary, and the IWR. |
|
How can Obama. and many of his supporters, trash Hillary up one side and down the other in the most simplistic and vile attacks regarding her vote on the IWR, while he stands there shoulder to shoulder with Kerry, who voted the same way as Hillary did?
What am I missing?

3. "Mr President Do Not Rush To War" |
|
When he saw that Bush was not living up to the intent of the IWR, Kerry started speaking out and has consistently done so. He had a plan to start withdrawing in 2005. He said his vote was a mistake. He and Feingold were among the very first to push for timelines and benchmarks.
Hillary Supported the Actual WAR.

4. You are missing the lame excuse that Kerry said his vote was a mistake. |
|
Talk is still cheap when you play the political game. That's what the so-called Dem base wanted to hear in order to give one a pass on making the same vote that Hillary made. She has said everythin except that "My vote was a mistake." She said if she had known then what she knows now she would not have voted that way AND she made the vote thinking that Bush would not go to war but that he wanted leverage to disarm Saddam. I think most folks just use her vote as a lame excuse to say, I really don't like Hillary and I have no really good reason for it.

i guess kerry has the same shit for brains....but that really doesn't matter....the war could have been ended already had enough democrats voted to cut off funding.....it seems that they fear doing that and facing whatever consequences that would bring more than they fear being voted out of office for not ending the war

You assume that some of us out here have forgiven Kerry or Edwards for their votes on the IWR. We haven't.

15. Everyone knew Bush was going to war. Period. |
|
Kerry said he felt bad that Bush shot himself in the foot when he went in and apologized for voting that way. Hillary still says she thinks it was a GOOD idea at the time. uh' NO!

Its a lame excuse Obama is using to attack Clinton. Like most of what he has to offer, its weak if not irrelevant.
This is the kind of parsing and hair-splitting normally reserved for GOP candidates attacking Dems. Its rather pathetic to see Obama's campaign resorting to these kinds of attacks.

11. Because she's still voting for war, like Kyl-Lieberman. |
|
Kerry did it once and he's said it was a mistake. Hilly is still feeding red meat to the neocons.

13. Kerry apologized a long time ago; has Hillary? And then to cap it off |
|
with another boneheaded vote (Kyl-Lieberman) for potential war doesn't sit well with people.
