Bush always seems to do better in polls of 'registered voters' than polls of 'likely voters'.

too close for my liking. Hopefully JK starts to pull away with a healthier lead. But it is only 8 months until election! still time to catch up.

3. Pennsylvania is a very unique state |
|
There is the city of Philidelphia which has many liberal leaning voters, and the middle, rural section which has many conservative leaning voters. They elect people like Santorum and Spectre to the Senate, but vote for Democratic presidential candidates like Al Gore (2000).

4. I'm pretty sure Kerry will win PA |

But he needs to spend time here, and he was here yesterday.

Pa is in Kerry's bag. Polls always underestimate Philly and Allegheny turnout. That is were all the votes are. Plus the Democrats have won PA three times in a row. And let's not forget we have ole Ed Rendell that will turn out the Philly voters.

Kerry will probably spend more time in PA after the convention. As a former Pittsburgher, I think Teresa Heinz Kerry will bring in a lot of votes.
Bush will wear out his welcome, imho.

Gore one PA by 200K votes in 2000. How could there be a virtual tie now given job loss, etc?
2000: Bush: 2,281,127 46% Gore: 2,485,967 51% Nader: 103,392 2%

6. Actually, if you gave Kerry the undecided voters in that poll |
|
his lead would be 6, which is similar to what Gore won by in 2000. Undecideds almost always go the the challenger.

Will it be wise for Kerry to pick Gov. Rendell for VP? Not only because it will solidify PA for him but more importantly will it help him carry the neighbouring states of OH and WV?

First off, the good governor is just getting started. He was elected in 2002. Second, he's really not all that popular, he won mainly because his opponent Mike Fisher was a pathetic ass clown. Third, we need a democratic governor in PA, Fourth, there are a few other better choices for VP who can bring in more states.

14. I am going to be adding one more for Kerry.... |

I live in PA but I was born in Canada. After the 2000 election theft, I was so pissed off that I put in my application for citizenship. I still have my Canadian passport (always good to have), but I will be voting in the fall.
I remember when I was at the naturalization ceremony, the republican women's club was all over me like a bad rash. I tried to be polite, but then, I finally said, "I'm a democrat. I became an American so that I could vote George Bush out of office." You should have seen their faces. Priceless.

I seem to remember Teresa being very well regarded, and Chris has made a name for himself since this campaign started.
