Sharpton gone: And then there were two....Kerry has the lock, Kucinich's

great message & platform, just might be heard by a few more Americans, it's desperately needed. Dennis Kucinich will throw his full support to John Kerry, after the (16) primaries, for a united Democratic party to help fight the Rove lies, smears & distortions and the long hard road to defeat the republican fascist and all their corporate money.

It will insure Kucinich a strong voice and position at the Democratic National Convention.

16 Primaries left to go.

3. My vote went to a candidate who didn't drop out...
Edited on Mon Mar-15-04 10:03 PM by flaminbats
When I voted..three of the things I expected from the candidate were that he would welcome all votes, that he would bring new energy to our compromised democratic party, and he would stay in the campaign for the long-haul.

Dean met two of my conditions, but once he dropped out I added my third requirement. On Super Tuesday, I made my choice. I decided against Edwards because he didn't meet any of my requirements. I decided against Kerry because he only met one, to stay in the race till the convention. This left Sharpton and Kucinich. Sharpton would bring new energy into the party, and at the time I felt he would stay in the race. But only Kucinich has met all three of the standards, which makes me prouder of my vote. :toast:

7. I also voted w/my conscience on super...
Tuesday with a vote for DK. My question is; How amazing is it that we live in a country where the people in charge have that fourth grade schoolyard bully mentality of making fun of Kerry's French connection or people like Kucinich for being "liberal"? Could someone tell me why liberal and progressive are treated like dirty words? I would classify myself as a liberal progressive rather than a democrat.

8. You're asking the wrong people...
it's the Repukes or press who must give the reasons for this burning hatred of progress.

9. And in a fine Murdoch publication to boot!
Jeez, the Post sure enjoys heaping scorn and derision on anybody to the left Francisco Franco, don't they? Talk about a pissy tone.

However, I do believe the basic premise of the story: Al hasn't actively campaigned anywhere since Super Tuesday, and even before then, he didn't have much of a presence in many states.

However, I doubt we've seen the last of him, Kerry endorsement or not.
