Sort posts by OP author/poster

Don't forget you can do this, even on Defcon 1. Click on "Author" and it will sort them so you can find posts started by your favorite poster.

I checked "preferences" and didn't see any way to do this. I'm missing something. Where do you go to do this?

On main GD-P page, where topics are listed, look over "author" and click there. It will resort and then you can click somewhere to get it back like it was, by "last reply" which is default setting.

I don't see it. What's Defcon 1?

3. Defcon 1 is referring to when siglines get turned off due to high traffic.

Some other things are turned off, as well. I don't know how to sort by author though.

You can also sort by start time, or recs, or replies, but I occasionally do "author" to check my favorite and not so favorite posters.

For example, if you're in the GD-P list of postings, just click on one of those headings:

appreciate it, took off for a bit and came back to find more confusion. I like to do this occasionally (take off and sort posts different ways). Hmm,just thought about the 2 new topics/day/poster, bet could check it out that way too. At any rate, thanks for explaining and clearing it up.
