Cindy McCain scares the bajeebus out of me
What is up with this woman? She just looks scary. She wears way too much eye liner. She must have had some face lifts or something, because I can't believe she's under 50 years old being married to McCain.

I realize this is probably a superficial observation, but the woman just doesn't look right to me. She's had all the advantages of McCain's money and position and is ready to nod and smaile as John talks about a 100 year occupation all the way to the White house. (Except he's going to lose to Obama.)

6. In the late 80's and early 90's was addicted to prescription drugs. . .
. . .was investigated by the DEA for stealing them from a not for profit organization she ran.

9. Here is more
-snip-
But the story I was pursuing was not so much about Cindy McCain's unfortunate addiction. It was much more about her efforts to keep that story from coming to light, and the possible manipulation of the criminal justice system by her husband and his cohorts. The irony is that Cindy's secret would have stayed secret if John McCain's heavy-hitting lawyer, John Dowd (of D.C.'s Akin, Gump, Strauss, Hauer & Feld; his most recent claim to fame was serving as co-counsel for fellow partner Vernon Jordan during impeachment) hadn't heavy-handedly pulled out all the stops to protect the McCain family.

Dowd tried to get back at the man on Cindy McCain's staff, Tom Gosinski, who had blown the whistle on her drug pilfering to the DEA. But in the course of trying to get local law enforcement officials to investigate Gosinski -- Dowd and the McCains considered him an extortionist; others might call him a whistleblower -- Dowd set in motion a process that would eventually bring the whole sordid story to light. When that maneuver backfired, the McCain media machine went into overdrive to spin the story.

It's a story of unintended consequences. It's also a story of power politics and media manipulation that's very un-McCain-like -- if you believe his national media hagiography.

But both of Cindy McCain's staged, teary drug-addiction confessions have been vintage John McCain. His MO is this: Get the story out -- even if it's a negative story. Get it out first, with the spin you want, with the details you want and without the details you don't want.

7. You're incorrect about the money part
While she may have had advantages of her husband's position, the money is hers. It was McCain who married into money not his wife!!

She is chair of Hensley & Company, one of the largest Anheuser-Busch distributors in the nation. Her father's business and political contacts helped gain her husband a foothold into Arizona politics; she campaigned with her husband door-to-door during his successful first bid for U.S. Congress in 1982, with her wealth from an expired trust from her parents providing significant loans to the campaign.

Hensley & Company

Financial Highlights
Fiscal Year End: December
Revenue (2007): 178.10 M
Employees (2007): 630

Key People
• Chairman: Cindy Hensley McCain
• Vice Chairman, President, and CEO: Robert M. (Bob) Delgado
• COO: William (Bill) Catalanotte

19. I think the Barack philosophy of attacking the issues is the better way forward...

...We must be more gracious to bhe McCains than they are to us. Barack is right on target. The moderates will notice this and more likely side with us.

Barack Obama " we thank McCain for his 50 years of service"

21. Evil incarnate
The mere sight of these two, Cindy in particular, makes all of my qualms about the Obamas and the Clintons vanish in a wave of Democratic pride. Nothing has rallied me for the general with candidates I don't much care for quite like the sight of the alternatives!
Michelle Obama bugs me, I'm not prone to like her sort of lawyer, but next to Cindy Michelle is a freaking Goddess of Progressive perfection! Seriously, the comparison makes all of my issues with either Hillary or Barack and their spouses seem trivial and dreamlike. I look at Cindy McCain and think, fuck, I'm just a Party Guy and I'll vote for our nominee no matter what, no matter what, McClurkin IWR, not matter, we pick and I am on board. These two candidates may not be my dream, but the McCains are my nightmare! Looking at these McSames make our choices look absoluetly fanstastic, flaws and all.
Her eyemake up is just the picture of all that is evil and wrong.
