I feel sorry for Madame Clinton , I really do |
|
I disagree with her on policy , and Obama is so untested you can never be sure what are you going to get , he might turn out to be the greatest president in history , or he might be a disaster , no way to predict.
I am still a Dennis Kucinich supporter , and while I disagree with Madame Clinton regarding the war and the Israel/Palestine Issue , I still felt sorry for her , she worked hard all her life for this , and she is a highly principled person although not as progressive as Dennis , and in comes this young charismatic fellow , and its just over .
When will she get another chance ? when she's 70 ?
American Elections are closer to popularity contest aka american idol , than anything else.

11. Hillary will be fine. She is admired around the country and the world. |
|
Win or lose, Hillary will continue working for America. I'm confused why you don't agree with her on policy. She is as liberal as any presidential candidate in history, and probably the smartest. She will only lose because of the seeds of hate planted many years ago, and now so many people, including once proud progressive blogs like Huffington post, and Consortium News, and media personalities such as Keith Olbermann, have let the AM radio loudmouth tell them Hillary is bad, and they buy it.
It's confusing that so many liberals hate her, and yet, she is hated by more conservatives than any person in history. Don't you want to elect the biggest enemy to conservatives?

18. I don't either anymore. Every time I begin to feel sorry for Hillary, |
|
she and her campaign pulls some wild shit like trying to get FL & MI seated, slinging mud at Obama, etc. Why doesn't she just let the DNC and party elders work it out. She stated herself that those states didn't count -- but that was before Obama started kicking her butt every which way.
And, last night put the icing on the cake. She pulled that Xerox crap which bombed. When that failed, she played the 'feel sorry for me cause my husband cheated on me card.' Then she got all soft and almost pulled a New Hampshire. I think her campaign staff told her to go into the debate using any and everything she could think of to sway the gullible public -- and it damned near worked -- until all the interviews she gave today.
Oh, and the standing ovation was for both candidates because the debate was at its end.
I'm sick of Hillary and giving her the benefit of the doubt, only to get suckered again. To hell with Hillary.
Damn that felt good. My first rant ever on a message board.

To me, that was a calculated turn of phrase that indicates her "make nice" face is a bunch of b.s. --she is as ruthless as anybody out there and will do whatever it takes to get elected.

...and lie in it she will.
She's a shrewd political tactician. She chose to surround herself with the team that went with a disastrous campaign strategy that failed in an epic manner.
I don't feel sorry for her. I do feel concern for the fact that we almost had a nominee that we were expecting the run the country who it turns out can't even run her own campaign. We dodged a bullet on that one.
She'll be fine. Don't worry.

32. Oh, and I feel sorry for Hillary Clinton. I always feel sad when someone dreams don't come true. |
|
She really, REALLY, really wants to be the next POTUS. There is nothing insidious about her ambition. No one just stumbles into the office of presidency. All of the candidates desperately want the prize. I believe that she thinks she could do a better job than anyone else. I just don't think its true. She's proven her incompetence by surrounding herself with lazy "yes" people who have led her into a miserable campaign.

she turns around and makes another dumbass accusation towards Obama when she is more guilty of what she's accusing him of. She asks for every bit of scrutiny she gets and shows the financial and personal responsibility of 5 year old.

14. "She worked hard all her life for this" |
|
I see this a lot here. That, and "she deserves it," "it's her turn," etc. There are many reasons to support or oppose any candidate, but to me those are least logical reasons to elect anyone. I think that type of thinking is as demeaning of her capabilities as a candidate than some of the stuff the opposition throws at her.
She's a good candidate with good policies and deserves support because of that, not some pity vote version of "poor thing, she deserves it."

15. I feel sorry for her too for many of the same reasons you cite. I feel |
|
that the reason she is losing is because of something she has very little control over. It's how her voice sounds when she projects it in a large venue.
As I cited a few days ago; Hillary goes into a state leading in the polls. After she and Obama hold their rallies, He advances, she declines. Why? Yes. Barack is a great speaker and all of that other good stuff people say about him. But Hillary does say some very impressive things during her rallies. But I think it fails to connect because her voice at that pitch is a turn off.
Regardless of some of the hateful things I say about Hillary from time to time I really do hold her in esteem. But for me personally, I can't imagine having to listen to that voice for four years.
For those who would accuse me of supporting Obama for shallow reasons...WRONGO! I decided to support Barack over Hillary because of Iraq long before I heard her at her campaign rallies.

21. I'll say it, and yes I'm playing the race card here. |
|
I think the reason Obama shoots up in the polls before every election is because initially white people are hesitant to support a black man, but once they see he's not a gangsta or black panther they're okay with him.

.... and it is her waffling and equivocating on the war that did her in.
If she really thinks we need to be in Iraq for ten more years, she deserves to lose.

Right Wing Conservative Media , brainwashed democrats, we are going to have to be more aware of what is going on.. and you are right, We know what a Clinton Administration would bring, but Obama is untested, he may make some of his supporters angry if he begans to go to the right to please his republican supuporter that he has gotten.. Who Knows...

If she was herself all the time she would be doing much better, but having your every move scripted doesn't allow for that.
Hillary should just say fuck it and ditch the script writers put on a dress(*gasp*) and have a ball the rest of the way!

I'm sure she'll go out of her way to try and torpedo Obama in the GE. When she fails at that too, it will be the end of the Clinton Brand, and it will be richly deserved.
