Did Anyone See Dean on Face The Nation?
He was excellent in defending Kerry! We need more Democrats like him out on the media circuit instead of those namby-pamby Democrats like Biden.

3. that he did! he had that usual odd smile at the start of any interview
but that's Dean. He's becoming so much more comfortable out there on the media circuit defending Kerry.

2. Dean was excellent and
is not afraid of telling the truth. I loved it when he repudiated the anchors about what Kerry said. It just proved we can't believe everything the news people report.

8. Dean may actually be more effective in this new role ...
Because now he can speak all the truth he wants and not have to worry about 'the Rove Machine' coming after him. He doesn't have to play by 'candidate's rules' anymore ... he's a PAC and a political commentator(just like Ralphie Reed) so he's entitled to say WTF ever he can prove about the BFEE. This also takes some of the heat off Kerry because Dean can make the media rounds saying things Kerry can't - sort of a 'surrogate campaigner' ...

And LAWD knows, Howard's got alot to say about Bush !! :yourock:

Kick ass from the sidelines until '08 Howard ... then jump back into the fray !!!

:hippie:

11. Dean is a definite asset to Kerry and the party
As long as they can get together on Dean's role--specifically that Dean will say what he wants, but coordinate somewhat with the Kerry camp so that there isn't so much of a disconnect. For the Spanish comment last week, Kerry would have done better for both himself and Dean to have a 'Dean raises a valid concern' sort of answer rather than just a 'we don't share that position'.

I don't go along with the interpretation that Kerry 'repudiated' Dean, but certainly he could have made more effective use of Dean's comment than he did. Use the question about Dean's 'controversial' comments to get people asking their own questions, in other words. Kerry was right to distance himself from the comment, but he could have done so in a more strategic way--emphasizing the concern without incurring damage to himself.

14. Exactamundo!
It's beautiful aint it? Only thing that would be better is to have the reverse - Kerry as Dean surrogate. But, the good Doctor is soooo good at tellin it like it is!!!!

Kennedy had good points, but his delivery was off today.

10. I love seeing my Hoho in the morning
And I agree he did a fine job, especially with deflecting the McCain bs at the start. And he is starting to bare his teeth at the media, isn't he?

I have to admit that I was impressed with Lugar's skill in avoiding answering questions. Condosleeza isn't worthy of changing his oil.

15. I agree Dean did a fine job.
And he is starting to bare his teeth at the media. They deserve it, but unfortunately, he can't go after them too hard until the election is over. Maybe he can call them on it when they pull their tricks though.
Lugar was very skillful also. He only slipped when he went against his own internationalist stance to question how Kerry's multilateralism would aid in fighting terrorism. He should have known better than to do that.

16. He slapped the media around but good...
and they were getting pissy about it....cause he was right!

If have to disagree though Slink....Biden was very good today with Stepanopolis...Hagel was very good too, basically, they all said Bush screwed up and Kerry needs to come up with his plan....

Everyone was very worried about 6-30-04......the admin. has no idea what to do about it......things are going to get much worse....
