For those of you who keep crying that Obama is outspending HRC

For those of you who keep crying that Obama is outspending HRC by 5 to 1 wisconsin or anything else of that nature...

From inception of both campaigns until the end of January TOTAL fund raising for BOTH candidates was:

HRC: $134,536,488

Obama: $138,231,595

http://www.opensecrets.org/pres08/index.asp

The difference between the two candidates? Less than $4,000,000 total. TOTAL. By the end of February, that will all change.

So while some of you are complaining about being "outspent" perhaps you should ask your candidate where all of her money went. They HAD the money, they BLEW threw it. The Obama camp banked their money, spent wisely, outhustled her camp, etc. She has no one to blame but herself, and her team.

1. I'll tell you what the big difference is:
Hillary is hiring people and buying them food, Obama has volunteers who provide their own food.

6. And I can just picture 8 Obama staffers
crashing on the floor in one room at the Motel 6... or worse, the back room of campaign HQ. :P

10. At the local Obama meeting today one of our volunteers
brother is actually a paid Obama worker on New England. Obama has paid workers but he also has volunteers and volunteers to feed the volunteers. It's a good feeling in Ohio. Peace, Kim

2. Wow. She really did blow this one.
Where did all the $ go? I have a feeling the January expenditures are going to be ugly.

5. Obama has raised the money through more small donations from more American VOTERS.
His donors aren't tapped out. HRC's are.

7. Apparently a lot of people are going unpaid
There have been newspaper stories of local businesses having to threaten to file law suits to get paid, from way back in December.

9. And she has e-mails out saying "don't let this be decided by the money" (words to that effect)

Again, more misleading statements from the Clinton camp.

If you add in the $7.5 million she is in debt, it appears that she had out spent him.

11. Obama raised $182 million fair and square but his financial advantage is a fact
He has been outspending her lately since he has far more cash on hand now, although you are right the Hill campaign didn't use its money as efficiently as Obama's campaign has.

Obama outspent Edwards 6:1 to beat him by 8 points in a neighboring state and that can't be ignored in what happened in Iowa.

12. First off
based on the reports it's $138 mil, secondly whose fault is it the HRC camp blew the money?

I think HRC outspent everyone in Iowa and still came in last.

My point is, you guys keep talking about how this camp is outspending HRCs camp when the fact of the matter is they both raised almost the same amount of money.
