The Obama media "bias", and the Manchurian candidate

Ok so despite the fact that it is conventional wisdom that the media is a bunch of Obamanaics, I'm wondering why nobody has ever tried to get to the bottom of where the "Obama is a Muslim terrorist who went to school in a madrassa and is intent on delivering the US to Al Queda" rumor actually originated. If you remember when it first started appearing on right wing websites, it was attributed to the Clinton campaign, most people did not take the accusation seriously. However in light of what has happened since (a) several instances of people in the Clinton campaign being caught spreading the e-mail (b) Stories that many Clinton voters ( I remember this specifically in Iowa) having the impression that Obama is Muslim (c)Clinton surrogates spreading other baseless slander about Obama (implying he was a drug dealer, etc.) (d) The appearance that the Clinton campaign at very high levels is making similar assertions about Obama to the Jewish community, there seems to be enough circumstantial evidence that one would think some investigative reporter would try to look into where exactly the rumors came from. I don't know, and I can't say I have any smoking gun where I could say it did come from the Clinton campaign, but due to subsequent events, and especially considering Hillary's "shaming" of Obama, I would think its at least worth looking into.
