The UT College Democrats got organized
They have registered close to 23,000 people to vote in the past five weeks – the large majority of them students. That's more than anyone on campus can remember registering for a primary, said Laura Hernandez, the organization's president. Armed with campaign posters, voter-registration cards and enough board games and buttered popcorn to make it through the night, dozens of students spent the 10 hours before early voting began outside their campus precinct, educating every bleary-eyed studier and after-hours straggler about the Texas primary


They are having rallies with tens of thousands all over the state.

By trying to make fun of Obama in Rhode Island she not only contasted the extreme differences of style and stature of the two
candidates it also looked like she was patronizingly ridiculing people in rural areas by stereotyping their 'pentacostal cultishness'
with the "celestial heavens opening up". Critically thinking Texans I am sure were not amused. THANKS HILLARY

Now here is how you can help without pain.

Volunteers in Texas need help with your extra points and miles. They are requesting you contact them and make arrangements to transfer points and miles to volunteers to help pay for their hotel/transportation/and air expenses there (My CD in California sent 6 folks there for 2 weeks.)

4. They are making their own and we are trying to make

buttons and stuff here in California too, but the demand is greater than we can handle. They need tens of thousands. Also there are particular volunteers that they want to bring in (i.e. reservists to work near Fort Hood) and need mileage and points for hotels and airfare

The email link in the OP above is the email for our CD Obama head who has moved to Texas until the vote. She is a real fire plug. They are urgently trying to get miles and points because they want to bring in specific volunteers for specific areas. For example I think they have reservists they want to bring in to work around Ft Hood. Thanks for your help
