Muslim headscarf in the context of an Obama staffer having been fired earlier in the campaign for sending an email saying HRC is a Muslim, would the HRC supporters here be crying foul or not?

Maybe someone has the picture I am talking about to illustrate.

1. Why would a campaign be pushing a photo of another candidate?
Putting someone's picture in the media brings attention to that candidate, positively or negatively. Clearly they don't want to give positive exposure to their rival so the obvious purpose here is to smear. There's no other reason to circulate this photo.

2. Wouldn't be the same... because there are no "Hillary is a closet muslim" rumors circulating....

An equivalent photo would be something like Hillary hanging out in a lesbian bar.

What makes this photo ONLY able to work is because of the "muslim" whispering campaign against Obama.
That makes it "believable" for some people. A meme of "Hillary is a closet muslim" is not believable, and hence, easily disregarded.

8. I understand what you're saying, but Barack is going to HAVE TO
find a way to put that rumor to death! I don't know who was/is circulating the Obama pic but if you think the Pubs won't do WORSE than that, you're living in a dream world! I don't know what to suggest to him to put an end to this stuff. Maybe more pics of him attending church services, or picks of his kids being baptized, or something like that from his past history that would show how he & his family worship all the time.

11. No, Obama can do little to combat that rumor. Only the MSM can combat it.
And they do have a responsibility to combat it, as the rumor is news and it has been reported on by the MSM so they should work to set the record straight. Actually I think the people who would believe the rumor are pretty much people who would never vote for Obama or any other Democrat anyway.

13. The MSM won't do that anymore than they put an end to the Swiftboat
stories! You know that! Barack is going to have to find a way! That's just not something the media does. They didn't do it for McCain either.

17. you are correct
I think I used the lesbian analogy earlier, if a photo of her kissing gloria stenhem was circulated by the obama campaign after a couple of low level bullshit lesbian hit pieces on her the HRC camp would be crying sexism.

recently.

Looking loose and relaxed, enjoying herself.

Not a recent picture, is it?

wasn't accused of going to a Muslim madrassa. There is no comparison and anybody who is honest about it, knows it.

to run for president. Every presidential candidate has had to defend their past, regardless.
Lies are told about everyone. I would think this is mild compared to what he would face from the right *if he is the nominee. If he's not prepared, he should be. I hope he is.
I don't want another repuke in office.

19. The difference is Hillary is not paranoid and her supporters are used to rough and tumble politics.
For Obama to publish a similar photo of Hillary would not damage Hillary one whit, because Hillary is not afraid of the truth and does not try to hide the things she has done.

Apparently, Obama is not only ashamed of wearing the clothes, and of getting his photo taken in them, he is also furious that somone would show that photo to someone else.

Maybe if he had less to be ashamed of, he wouldn't be so overely sensitive?

24. It just struck me this whole incident is a bit racist.
Because Obama is dark skinned and has had a connection to Islam, the photo is pushed out there to make people "afraid of the terrorist." If he was blond and blue eyed, this wouldn't fly. That's why a similar photo of Hillary would just be a nice travel photo.
