It does not matter WHAT the GOP throws at Barack Obama from June - Nov. |
|
Edited on Mon Feb-25-08 09:42 PM by asSEENonTV
The Democratic (with or without sour DU Clinton supporters) turnout will be SO MASSIVE that he will win.
I believe Clinton would also win in Nov, although it will be a bigger challenge.
Barack Obama's incredibly savvy, organized and positive campaign strategy will have 6 months to motivate every state to record involvement.
Only TX and OH are in the way to a MASSIVE win in November and Obama IS STILL the UNDERDOG in those states...Lets work our asses off on the phones and the streets to make sure we get to November with Barack Obama.

1. Respectfully disagree. |

The hostile attacks from one camp to the other in the democratic party leaves us hopelessly vulnerable at this point.
There are a lot of people who hate what has happened in the last 7 years but are terrified of change.
If our candidate (whoever wins) is painted as too much of a change, there will be a massive move to the right.
I really don't think this is going to be an easy win. And the sooner we stop attacking ourselves, the better.

3. And every repuke blog and freeper site |
|
is screaming happy happy joy joy because they set out to do exactly what they intended which was to divide the Democratic party. Get the Repuke controlled MSN to bash Hillary long enough and she is out. All they have to do now is make Obama look like Farakhan's weak on foreign policy little sweetheart and he is out. But ya know what, we were too stupid to figure it out. Half of us hate Obama and the other half hate Clinton and guess who wins..........John Mccain. Instead of rallying together no matter who we supported to boycott the MSN and their advertisters we let the media kill one of our own. Instead on banding together no matter who we supported to fight back we let the repukes and their media dictate to us which Dem candidate was better for us. When McCain wins in November, and he will because the house once united is now divided, we can only blame ourselves.

I want change.
I am just advising not to rest on our laurels and that we need to stop attacking each other.

I've warned you guys for over a week, Obama will be toast in all the Big Red States in the GE, the MSM has been nice to him...you'll see and don't cry foul when the voting machines aren't there or don't work or the fact that 3.5 million undervotes will never be considered...

5. Va Dem Primary 2004 - 450,000 voters - 2008 - 950,000 voters. |
|
Put that in the body of evidence that supports your argument.
It was amazing. The 2004 primary was for real but in 2008, the Obama phenomenon allowed all those who are continually let down by the party to show up. That's a big difference - 100% increase.
In Virginia two successive Democratic governors failed to restore the voting rights for ex felons. In Virginia, there are 200,000 mostly male, mostly minority ex felons. They served their time, they paid their debt. Only 5-10% were violent offenders and that shouldn't matter anyway. But the governors couldn't buck the post reconstruction KKK plan to take the vote away from black people due to having a felony on their record. How shameful.
The extra 500,000 Virginia Democrats were sending a message to their party - give us something to vote for and we'll show up. Will they get the message, the Democratic hierarchy. No more than the 2006 Congress got the message they were supposed to end the Iraq War.
I hope Obama is up to this. It's a huge task representing those without a stake in the game when they're motivated.

'sick of bush, turnout big', bla, bla, bla, that worked out well
can we stop living on just 'hope', and come down to the nitty gritty reality?
