What....the.....fuck?

Some of you may remember me and why I left the Republican party before the 2004 election I was sick of the discord, the demonizing of other Americans who happened to disagree with what "we" believed, labeling those who weren't "right thinking" criminals, the care of veterans, and the general callousness of a party that was so self-centered the only thing they cared about was the party, and not the country.

I became a Democrat because I believe that the Democratic Party is above that. We're for the guy that can't take on the big government/Republican machine, we're for protecting the laws of this country, and we're able to come together for the common good and rally around our candidate to defeat the Reublican machine and stop these last 8 years of insanity. We are better than that, but lately, I wonder.

Looking at some of the vitriolic shit that's getting thrown around here you'd think we were the evil minons of Karl Rove himself. Look, I'm an Obama guy, but I'm still going to vote for Hillary if she gets the nod. I'll admittedly not be as excited about her candidacy as I would be for Obama's, but I'll still put a sign in my yard, and I'll still probably volunteer in some capacity.

With everything that's at stake it would be unthinkable for me to risk throwing my vote away on someone that has no chance of winning the presidency, and in so doing, handing it to McCain.
