Tuesday. we unite with obama and win, or we continue to fight |
|
i feel very strongly if hillary doesnt drop out after tuesday then we will hand the election to mccain because if remain deadlocked all the way to the convention then we will rip ourselves apart.

i just see some very bitter fighting between obama and clinton if this isnt settled on tuesday. meanwhile, mcpuke will be free to rip us every day while we rip ourselves apart. we have a choice tuesday and i hope we dont choose to lose.

5. Last time I heard HRC, she refused to accept a knock out metaphor |
|
It's not a prize fight, she said. Please, there's enough trouble ahead w/o self-fulfilling prophesies.

31. McCain knows he will be up against Obama |
|
hence the recent targeting of Sen. Obama in Sen. McCain's stump speech.
It doesn't take much to tell which way the wind is blowing; sorry that the supporters of Sen. Clinton have to come to terms with the reality that things have slipped away for their candidate.
The longer this drags out, the more it hurts the party.

32. I am really glad that Mr. McCain |

is taking Obama on.
It will show us what that is likely to look like in November. And help remaining states make a more informed choice.

10. No, honestly, I wouldn't--if he lost 11 in a row, by big margins, and |
|
kept saying "But wait until we get to the states that LIKE me better!", I'd think he was delusional and in it for his own ego. He wouldn't have done it anyway--he admitted he would have bowed out, and he would have been expected to. But until he's the actual nominee, Hillary is the presumptive nominee, because her last name is Clinton, and he knows that.

12. Honestly if HRC had won the last 11 states I'd pretty much accept that it's over |
|
Although frankly I don't see too much harm in making this go until Pennsylvania. These people claiming that the one month matters don't realize that elections are won in September and October not in April.

27. nope. if Obama had the string of losses Hillary does |
|
I'd say it was all over and we should unite behind her. If she loses either TX or OH and decides to stay in, she'll deserve condemnation.

Only repugs call use it like that. You will learn that the hard way if you don't edit your title.
But nice clip.

13. It's called "Democracy." Remember that concept? |
|
This is the closest primary race I can remember, and I can remember quite a few. And you want one of the candidates to drop out?
Frankly, I'm sick of the "you're with us or against us" calls. It sounds more than faintly like Bush. Several important states have yet to vote in a close primary. Neither Obama nor Hillary can get the required number of delegates to win; it's that close.
The American people, so far, have shown that both candidates are viable. Let the rest of them speak. Not that anyone on DU has a single thing to say about it; no one is going to change any candidate's mind. I find it arrogant in the extreme that those who demand Hillary's dropping out think they somehow have any kind of effect.

This is premature and insulting to Clinton supporters.
Instead of antagonizing them, spend the weekend making calls to Ohio, where we are still about 5 points down!
