Electoral tie possibilities
If the results will be the same as in 2000 except WI and MN go for Bush and OH, WV, NH go for Kerry - it's a tie. That seems like a possible result - those states. Any other realistic tie scenarios?

If it is a tie what happens? The House of Reps picks the VP and the Senate picks the P? Would that be before or after new Senators are sworn in?

3. Actually,
each state's house delegation has one vote. Thus, if Texas were to vote now, our delegation would vote for Kerry. Weird, eh?

But in choosing the President, the Votes shall be taken by States, the Representation from each State having one Vote; a Quorum for this Purpose shall consist of a Member or Members from two thirds of the States, and a Majority of all the States shall be necessary to a Choice. In every Case, after the Choice of the President, the Person having the greatest Number of Votes of the Electors shall be the Vice President. But if there should remain two or more who have equal Votes, the Senate shall choosing from them by Ballot the Vice President.
