The REAL Hillary stepped out from behind the curtain in debate.
Believe me, I am no big fan of Dick Morris at all, but on some of his points regarding Hillary he is correct. She has a very nasty streak, and it is playing out because she sees what she thinks is her birthright slipping away. We saw it in her hypocritical ranting about the Obama mailers. We saw it in her foolish sarcastic side-show in Rhode Island. We saw it this past week in the debate. How ANYONE could tolerate that WHINING about "always being asked the first question - should Obama be given a pillow" and support anyone who would stoop to such sad, juvenile silliness as that is beyond me. So here's most of an essay released today on Hillary by Morris, and he makes some very valid points.

"Hillary has found her voice. The one that so alienated everyone she came into contact with over her health care plan that her own party destroyed it. The one that publicly and loudly defended Bill and arranged for attacks on Monica Lewinsky when she knew the complete and sordid truth.

Hillary’s snide comment about whether Barack needed a pillow to be made more comfortable was downright embarrassing. The anticipated applause line on her script never happened. The audience was silent. The press was amazed. And Barack seemed genuinely startled by her nuttiness — he looked over at her as if he was viewing a dotty old aunt at a family dinner, the one that everyone politely humors.

Her lifelong pattern of secrecy was once again evident. While publicly promoting transparency in government, she steadfastly refuses to release her personal income tax returns. That’s a clear tip-off that there’s something to hide. Recall that the Clintons selectively released tax returns in Arkansas, but refused to go back to 1980, when Hillary had her windfall in cattle futures.
During the debate, Hillary suggested that she’d release the returns “soon,” but her staff quickly backtracked. She implied that she’s been too busy to deal with releasing the returns. Does she really think anyone believes that it will take more than simply making a copy of the return? She’s stalling and there’s a reason for that.
Most likely, the return will show how much Bill has been making from his partnership with the Sheik of Dubai and his other business ventures. Should the spouse of a presidential candidate be in business with a foreign leader who needs favors from the U.S. government? Definitely not. That’s why we’ll never see those returns.

And then there are the Clinton Library records that document her schedule as first lady. She doesn’t want them released either because they will definitively show that she was never the co-president. The Library has been stalling on the release of those documents for years. During the debate, she said that she wanted them released as quickly as possible and seemed to blame the Bush administration for the delay. But today, the White House indicated that she had made no requests for any expedited release.

The old Hillary, the real Hillary, is back.
And there’s apparently been no one to stop her from acting on her own worse instincts.
Underneath the veneer of the practiced smile and the strategically used giggle, there is a rage that is always close to the surface. It was on display in the debate.
Hillary Clinton is furious that America has not agreed to her coronation. She doesn’t understand why voters are rejecting her and embracing Barack Obama. She just doesn’t get it.
Never one to engage in self reflection, she can’t blame herself or even her incompetent strategists and advisers. They’re too close to her. She can’t accept the sorry fact that her campaign has been a disaster because it was based on the past and not the future, because it was premised on her 'experience' and maintaining the status quo, and because her negative outlook is completely out of step with the mood of America."

3. Hillary doesn't giggle and Dick Morris is an a asshat.
You assume her anger is based on entitlement, I see it as justified anger at the media bias.

9. She DOES giggle, and sure, Morris can be an asshole, BUT
it doesn't mean he's never right about anything. He makes some valid points here. Hillary has used
JUVENILE levels of cattiness, sarcasm, bitching, hypocrisy, and outright whining and she needs to cut the shit and tell people in a positive way for a change why she should be President. She only reinforces what HALF the country already can't stand about her when she pulls this juvenile shit.

4. Married persons who are married to the President, might have
bypassed those pesky rules and records of documentation and such. Just a thought. 12. Her reactions to Bill and Monica will not be brought out by the Republicans if she is nominated?
Are they that nice to ignore it? Better get used to it over and over again and again if she gets the nomination.

21. Agreed
Add to that the desperate tactics she has stooped to in the past few weeks and the overall disaster in this race and the numerous stuff they can dig up on her past and it will be EXTREMELY difficult for her to win in the GE.

As for this "Why me first?" and the other crap I see from Clinton supporters. You think republicans will give a shit? Do you think they will care when they have prepared for 8 years to run against a Clinton?

23. I just think it shows she's a bit out of touch in relating to regular folks...
She can make snide remarks like that in the beltway and in the boardroom (and the playground) and nobody would think much of it, but that kind of sardonic tone doesn't play well in Peoria.

25. Yep, Al Gore's tone in 2000 ...
during the debates was the only thing that kept Chimpy's campaign alive. The sighs, the eye-rolling, the general contempt ... SURE, WE ALL FELT THAT WAY ABOUT CHIMPY, BUT YOU GOTTA PRETEND YOU'RE NOT DEBATING A MORON!!! I guess it was just too fucking hard, and perhaps it's easy for me to say, because when I have to deal with a Republican fucktard, the cameras aren't rolling.

But if Gore just would have sucked it up and not let his disgust surface so blatantly, he would be finishing up his second term. Hell, he won the election anyway, but it wouldn't have been anywhere close enough for the GOP to steal it if Gore had just behaved in a more reserved manner.
