NY Times today said that Frist's idea to smear Clarke was not coordinated with the WH. I think that he didn't realize what he was getting into until the DEMS started insisting on bringing out the testimony. It has been great that Dems, both members of Congres and their aides, say that Frist is blowing smoke about what was said. The Repukes can run, but they can't hide from this.
