Encourage frist to persue perjury charges against Clarke
Immediately. Ensure the defendant has a speedy start to his trial which will drag throughout the summer. HAVE THE DEFENSE CALL CONDI TO TESTIFY UNDER OATH; AND CHENEY AND BUSH AND RUMSFELD AND BIG JIM THOMPSON.

4. Generally I agree
First, Bob Graham has read the prior testimony and believes that it will only reinforce Clarke's testimony, and second,

In a court of law, spin doesn't count .

Third, in a court of law, the defense would call Condi to the stand and put her under oath which is exactly what these guys are desparately trying to avoid.

5. Which is why Frist is backing down
NY Times today said that Frist's idea to smear Clarke was not coordinated with the WH. I think that he didn't realize what he was getting into until the DEMS started insisting on bringing out the testimony. It has been great that Dems, both members of Congres and their aides, say that Frist is blowing smoke about what was said. The Repukes can run, but they can't hide from this. The Donkey has awakened and is starting to kick!

13. Remember...
last year Bob Graham alluded to testimony brought before his intelligence committee...he implied that it was damning to the Bushies...Clarke was one those testifying so I'm with you...bring it on!

12. How do you know this? Wasn't his first testimony classified?
That's what I find amusing about all the Repug spin on this. How can they possibly know what he said and reveal it now without revealing classified or secret info, and how otherwise can the public evaluate their description of it?

8. Don't think so
except for the choir, people aren't paying that much attention to Frist. They are listening to Clarke and believing him. His apology to 911 families has gone over quite favorably throughout the country. And the first impression is often the one that lingers.
