Another Hillary PLEDGE is Broken - This Time To Texas
An hour after the end of the CNN Democratic Presidential Debate in Austin, Hillary Clinton spoke briefly to Democrats at an after-party in a ballroom of the downtown Hyatt. "I'm going to pledge to you we are not only going to pick a nominee right here in Texas but we are going to lay the groundwork for a great campaign this fall where we will go from one end of this state to the other making the case that it is time for the Democrats once again to get back into office, and you heard me say it before, it took a Clinton to clean up after the first Bush and it will take another Clinton for this one."

If Texas picks Obama, does that mean Obama is the nominee, per Hillary's own words? And what about Bill's words that she HAS to win Ohio AND Texas? Anyone in the Clinton Camp willing to keep their word? If she could only tell the truth, just once, but the Truth.. like Sincerity.. evades her.

1. Any defense of this from HRC supporters? What's the Talking Point? The Rationale?

3. It is very easy to justify this
The only states that matter are the states that Hillary wins. When it looked like Hillary would win TX, it mattered. Now that she might not win TX, it might not matter. I'm sorry, that is the way it is. I don't make the rules, Hillary does.

14. I'm not sure I understand
Are you saying she promised to bow out if she loses Texas? She hasn't lost Texas yet. If she loses and doesn't bow out by Wednesday, she'll get tremendous pressure from the party to withdraw. Why not wait and see before calling it a broken pledge?

2. So this is your idea of oath-breaking?
Campaign barn-raising?

You can cherry-pick hundreds of similar "lies" from anyone, including Barack Obama.

"And what about Bill's words that she HAS to win Ohio AND Texas? Anyone in the Clinton Camp willing to keep their word?"

What did Bill give HIS word about -- and how does it obligate Hillary?

"If she could only tell the truth, just once, but the Truth.. like Sincerity.. evades her."

I've heard of sore losers, but you guys are sore winners -- and gossipmongers. Who. Never. Stop.

4. Get over it. When the attacks on Obama cease, I'm sure the attacks on Hillary will likewise cease,

Also, when Hillary officialy concedes and withdraws from the campaign, that is the tiome for the winners to be good winners and the losers to be good losers.

5. Can you find me a time where Obama said a state didn't count? Thanks.

7. Refresh my memory about Hillary saying the same thing.
It should be easy -- it has been a Team Obama at DU talking point for weeks. I think it was something Mark Penn said once.

8. Oh dear lord. Now you're denying they've said that states don't count. Do you all go to some kind
of training camp that teaches you how to upside down/opposite everything.. to accuse the opposition of exactly what you do.. ?

Fucking unreal. Three. More. Days. Then you're all shut down and good riddance.

9. Good riddance?
I've been at DU since February of 2002. You joined in November.

And I think you know where you can stick your moral-superiority hand-wringing act.

10. Then you've been here long enough to know that bashing the democratic nominee is
not allowed. Hopefully you'll be able to contain yourself when Hillary drops out on Wednesday.

11. You can check for yourself
Every post I make, I post to my journal, so anyone can check my history. For a few weeks, I got into the boxing ring. I've also done a fair amount of sticking up for Obama, in spite of the fact that much of his DU team is composed of people from the nyah-nyah section of the peanut gallery.

On the other hand, the day Hillary -- or Obama -- drops out, most of the Assholes For Obama will suddenly lose their interest in DU.

And of the Assholes for Hillary ... ? Most of them were banned about two weeks ago.

But keep up the smugness and superiority, by all means. I'm sure you'll make lots of Obama supporters that way.

12. I think the referral to votes and states...
counting is in reference to the Clinton's Campaign wish to shift the weight to the Super-delegates in order to win the nomination. But, then there is stuff like this:

16 Feb 2008 04:39 pm
Sebelius: We Count!
http://matthewyglesias.theatlantic.com/archives/2008/02/sebelius_we_count.php
The governor of Kansas fired back against the Clinton campaign's habit of deriding entire states where they happen to lose elections:

Senator Clinton and her campaign surrogates keep deriding Senator Obama's wins in red states by saying that her victories in the 'big states' are the ones that matter," Governor Sebelius said. " The right Democrat, like Barack Obama, can carry red states, just like the 14 Democratic governors elected in states won by George Bush in 2004. We can't tell people their votes don't matter and then expect their support against John McCain in November. Senator Obama is reaching to Independents and Republicans because they desperately want to change our politics. I hope Senator Clinton will follow his lead and stop dismissing Democrats that don't live in New York or California.

Of course it's not just red states -- those of us in DC, Maryland, Connecticut, Maine, Washington, Minnesota, etc. don't like to be to told we don't count either.
