One for the It's a Small World files: Judge in Rezko case worked with Ken Starr on Whitewater
Edited on Sun Mar-02-08 01:03 PM by wlucinda
Judge Amy St. Eve was part of Ken Starr's team during the Whitewater investigation. I have no big comment on the fact, just thought it was worth mentioning since it was the judge who offered the extra week to his defense team. It wasn't done at Rezko's request.

Am still doing a little digging.

2. Yeah. I ran across that while I was looking.
There is some noise that she's on the fast track, and another high profile case hitting her court room, with connections to a leading Dem presidential candidate (however innocent they might be) worries me a bit.

5. Small world indeed, and who is the Federal Prosecutor?
Fitzmas again?

In announcing the indictment against Rezko, 51, of Wilmette, U.S. Atty. Patrick Fitzgerald said his office was unconcerned about whether its actions would impact the upcoming election. Fitzgerald refused to discuss Blagojevich.

"We're not going to stop momentum or take a siesta for political reasons," Fitzgerald said. "We're not concerned with elections. We're concerned with bringing the cases as soon as they're ready to go."

6. Suuuure they aren't concerned with elections and political implications.
:eyes:
Anyone who expects this to be ignored by the MSM is fooling themselves. It's got BIG RATINGS slapped all over it, regardless of the actual details.
