Cleveland resident claims a Clinton campaign caller referred to Obama as Osama bin Laden |
|
http://www.swamppolitics.com/news/politics/blog/2008/03/did_i_say_osama_i_meant_obama.htmlA lawyer in a prominently Democratic suburb of Cleveland relates this tale to The Swamp on the day before the all-important Ohio primary: So last night around dinner time, the phone rings. It’s the Hillary campaign–official number, per the caller ID. The woman on the other end asks me if Hillary can count on my support Tuesday. I say I have not decided.
She asks what would help me decide. I say, “Well . . . maybe she can make Bill her vice president.” She does not know how to take me, of course, but has to assume I am serious. “I don’t think she can do that.” “Bill will have a significant role in major decisions, though, won’t he?” I ask. “Oh, certainly he will be very involved. Do you like Bill?” “Very much.” I reply.
She then launches into a two-minute spiel on all the very specific initiatives and proposals Hillary has put forth on health care, the war in Iraq, etc., etc. At the end of her spiel, she says, “And we haven’t heard anything that specific from Osama bin Laden.”
I say, “You did not just say that.” She replies, “I’m sorry . . . just a slip of the tongue.” She then thanks me for my time and encourages me to vote for Hillary on Tuesday.

26. Purposefully intended to let the caller |
|
know exactly how much respect the hilary surrogate has for Obama.
What she's showing, though, is how hilary supporters lose all self respect to build up the warmonger, lying liar.

2. Hillary, you may be losing my general election support. |
|
At this point, I'll vote for you. But campaign and donate? Not if you're relying on these kind of "people".

3. Phone bankers are volunteers and any stupid thing like that can happen |
|
When a campaign turns hundred or even thousands of people loose in their name, it is pretty difficult to control and monitor who is saying what. Someone who was just stupid and if identified should be off the phone bank list anyway. But they probably put in a couple of hours and will never be heard from again.

12. That is NOT Hillary's fault, or her campaign's for that matter... |
|
I am voting Obama, people do take matters into their own hands. But anyone could have said that accidentally. But what Bill Cunningham did was deliberate and inexcusable, chanting "Barack Hussein Obama" http://youtube.com/watch?v=TNjnUXoHH0Ehttp://www.local12.com/content/breaking_news/story.aspx?content_id=4a4fd8ad-2613-401e-9528-cfa2779bbcd1

I'm not sure I've ever seen a more blatantly bullshit story. My god have some turned into total suckers for anything, as long as it is anti-Hillary.

December 10, 2007 Third Clinton Volunteer Knew Of Smear E-MailA third volunteer for Hillary Clinton's campaign was aware of a propaganda e-mail alleging that Barack Obama is a Muslim who plans on "destroying the U.S. from the inside out." "Let us all remain alert concerning Obama's expected presidential Candidacy," the email reads. "Please forward to everyone you know. The Muslims have said they Plan on destroying the U.S. from the inside out, what better way to start than at The highest level." Two Clinton volunteers, Linda Olson and Judy Rose, have already been asked to resign from the campaign for their roles in forwarding the e-mail. The AP reported yesterday that Olson, a volunteer coordinator in Iowa County, sent a version of the e-mail to 11 people, including Ben Young, a regional field director for Chris Dodd's campaign. Young passed it on to the AP.http://hotlineblog.nationaljournal.com/archives/2007/12/third_clinton_v.html

23. But oh, no, the Clinton campaign isn't involved in spreading |
|
the smear. If it's true, it's absolutely disgusting. My biggest fear is that the Clinton political machine will ruin Obama's reputation and cost him the nomination because of smear and innuendo. Down the road, when everything is debunked and Obama is found to be completely honest, we'll have Hillary as a candidate. Rupert Murdoch will be publishing the pictures of Bill's current girlfriends, the Caymen Island money will come to light, the common folk will learn Bill rakes in nearly half a million a speech on a good day and the dirty, little Clinton secrets will bubble up to the surface. Worst of all, a good man will have been trashed.
