It is a damn good thing Obama can attract such a diverse group to join us!

We have seen an unprecedented amount of Independents and disaffected (or pissed off) rethugs move in Obama's direction. I could understand folks being concerned if Obama was moving to them, but they are moving to Obama! I don't recall any major positions where many on the left have declared Barack has marginalized either the Democratic platform or our liberal values.

In no way am I defending any war mongering puke or suggesting that Obama cater to conservative ideals; I am suggesting that it is indeed possible for those that drank Shrub's Kool-Aid to see the light. It is even probable that some rethugs have grown weary and sick of the Bush crime family's arrogant and illegal actions in waging war or shredding our Constitution.

I celebrate the fact Obama seems to reach across socio-economic lines and political parties. I thought our BIG BLUE TENT was an inclusive party, not an exclusive one.

To somehow suggest Obama is "less Democratic" because he is attracting non-Democrats is disengenuious; rather, he must be one shinning example of the BEST we can offer as a party, because he is attracting so many folks to join us.

That seems win/win to this voter!

1. As somebody else put it, in the opposite of old party building, he brings the center to our values.

5. Not mine either, but it was a really great phrasing, so I stole it too.
People underestimate the draw and power of a great orator, and their ability to persuade.
