Does anybody know anything about this Dem campaign job in DC?
There's an internet direct marketing job posted at Monster.com for a "progressive non-profit" in DC. The e-mail contact is democraticjobs@aol.com. Here's the description:
Major progressive non-profit in Washington, DC seek Director of Internet Marketing.

JOB TITLE: Director of Internet Marketing

DEPARTMENT: Marketing

GENERAL DUTIES:

 Work closely with Division Directors to develop, coordinate, manage and implement all aspects of internet fundraising including; email appeals, website, newsletter, and acquisition income.

 Create, write, and edit internet fundraising communications and concepts.

 Create and maintain income reports and projections.

 Manage all internet email list building efforts including vendor management.

 Track and maintain acquisition budget, invoicing, contracts, and IOs.

 Manage Internet vendor and list broker relationships, contracts and IOs.

 Develop list building strategies for both paid and unpaid acquisition efforts.

 Track, analyze and use results effectively to maximize online income in all aspects of website, email and Internet acquisition fundraising efforts.

 Prepare technology data list requests for various data sources.

 Manage acquisition list results and track budgets.

 Manage list building concepts such as appends, co-registration.


EXPERIENCE AND/OR SPECIAL SKILLS REQUIRED:

Candidates should have at least 5 years of direct response fundraising experience and 3 years internet marketing communications experience. Some HTML and IT knowledge a plus. Experience with database and list management. Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously in a high pressure, team oriented environment. Previous project and staff management required.

The candidate must have a strong background in email list building, acquisition, and internet advertising.

Direct marketing is my gig, so I just sent my resume, but I'm wondering if anyone has prior knowledge of what this is all about.
