I like Edwards but Attorney General isn't right for him |
|
I know a lot of people toss his name around, but don't they usually have prosecetorial experience? Many times they have served as AG for a state right?
Not that I'd mind if Edwards was AG. I just want Dumbya outta there. Anything beats Ashcroft...

4. I think he could handle the job, but I agree |

Neither criminal law nor criminal procedure nor constitutional law are noted as strengths of "Johnny Edwards" (as he is known by Triangle area lawyers).
While I like Edwards (preferably in the No. 2 spot on the ticket), I also disagree with the poster who suggested he be appointed CJ of the Supreme Court. Kerry has a much better choice for that spot: me. America needs a bright young legal mind on the bench to usher in a new era. I'm only 23, so barring health problems I would be serving as CJ for a long, long time.

6. The Attorney General is essentially an administrator. |
|
Prosecutorial experience is not really a requirement. The Justice Department has long-term, civil-service prosecutors who handle the criminal division. What the AG is, in short, is 'the President's lawyer', someone who sets and directs policy.

After all, he did make his millions on the back of corporations--and get millions more for the wronged victims Bush tries to blame
