1. I hate it, but it's a great ad |
|
Because everytime some poor bastard, perhaps even one of the dreaded swing voters, in Ohio pulls up to a gas pump and lays out $2.50 a gallon somewhere in the back of his mind he's wondering if Kerry is to blame for the high prices.
What they've done is they have taken a * negative and projected it onto Kerry. I really think it's pretty effective. The TOTAL lack of reponse from the Kerry camp in the form of ads is scary.

3. How can you respond to every attack? |
|
They have over 200 million freakin' dollars?!??!? I think they're strategy is lets run a bunch of attack ads, let them respond and blow all their cash!

6. They don't have 200 million..... |
|
Technically speaking. They've raised 170 million for this campaign and spent a considerable sum recently, but that's not really the point.
You have to respond in some way, if necessary make a limited ad buy on CNN or MSNBC. Otherwise you're just taking body blows from Karl Rove Inc. one after the other. Not good.

14. I don't really think Kerry needs a response ad to each Bush ad..but.. |
|
I think Kerry should definately make an ad that clearly defines his general position on ALL taxes..
Bush is going to make ad after ad about how Kerry wants to raise taxes on this or that..all Kerry needs is ONE well done ad to put all of their "Kerry is going to tax-tax-tax" lies to rest!
I also think Kerry's campaign needs to plan the right time to launch their own offensive against Bush..I don't think that time has come yet...it needs to be closer to November, maybe right after the GOP convention..

9-11 so he is desparately looking for issues.

5. Haven't seen it - how does it imply Kerry's to blame for gas prices?` |
|
It must be a good ad, because in black and white, it looks rediculous.

7. It really doesn't blame Kerry directly |
|
But it does show a pic of him. I think it more or less associates Kerry with high gas prices, when in reality many people know Kerry probably has a lot less to do for high prices than the Shrub.
But the bottom line, we live in a nation of idiots. They'll buy almost anything. That's why this ad is so disturbing.

8. When you look at the ad, remember what Bush's supporters said early on |
|
"The adults are back in charge."
That joke ad really looks like it was made by adults.
When are they going to "restore dignity to the white house"?

10. Another Chimpy lie: we need disclaimers on these ads |
|
Kerry was for a 50 cent gas tax 11 years ago to help get money for the budget deficit but it was never brought up in any bill or passed.
It's time to do a Chimpy Lies series.

15. Kerry side does not have nearly the amount of money they have |
|
to respond everytime. this is why kerry's poll numbers are down. those ads that keep coming on all over the country. but you have to also see bush's numbers in proporation to the amount of money he spends on these ads are not very good.
