Hillary lost big tonight -- she needed supermajority victories in 3 or 4 of these states... |
|
to catch up with Obama. Didn't happen.
Hillary's out. She doesn't know it or recognize it yet.

1. Perhaps you should dash an email off to her. |
|
No doubt she'd appreciate your insight.

5. How is that spinning? Even her own campaign was saying as much a week ago. |
|
Before they spun and moved the goal posts.
She just doesn't have math behind her.

4. She is in it to win it (in 2012) |
|
The longer she stays in, the better her chances are to win in 2012.

13. No, which is why she is staying in this year |
|
The longer she stays in, the more it distracts and hurts Obama's chances to win against McCain. So Hillary's actions will help McCain, which helps her chances of being able to run in 2012.

I still haven't had a Clinton supporter give me a detailed analysis of how she overcomes the delegate math stacked against her.

11. Easy peasy. It's called the RULE. The RULE is a candidate needs 2025 delegates. |
|
Ya know, the RULE --- just like the RULE that discounts the FL and MI primaries.
The RULES of the DNC.

And the beat goes on.
Obama's delegate math is basically the same, which means he still is the winner --- and still in the lead for the nomination!

Perception is not all, and momentum means nothing when you have already lost the race. She is embarrasing herself and the party by not dropping out.

And how dare you pull that crap tactic on me? I'm thrilled she didn't back down to your "movement." I'm delighted she stayed and fought. I've been looking for a candidate like that.
Did you really believe a WOMAN with the GUTS to run for president would back down to your stupid "shaming" pressure?

32. What part of brokered convention do you not understand? |
|
She will stay in the race until the bloom is off of the Obama rose - that is her entire strategy right now - ie as March and April roll along he gets brought down to human proportions and is seen as a regular politician (one with very little experience I might add) by the Rezko trial and the incompetence that he has shown in managing the NAFTA fiasco. Once Obama is brought down from the heavens, he has a REALLY hard time keeping any sort of momentum because once you get past all of the hoopla around him, there just isn't enough there there...
He has absolutely no choice right now but to go negative with her because by taking the body shots without going negative, he looks the fool. And when he does go negative, it will blow up in his face because he is supposed to be the 'transcendent' candidate.
Once the bloom is off the rose, the national polls with shift with the buyers remorse and the supers will take the permission that they were just granted by Donna Brazile tonight and make their choice based on "electability".
Don't ever underestimate the desire of the DNC to win the election. Hillary won the states that matter. They know this now. Ohio was the test of this.
They know that if she gets the nod, she will have a cordial and respectful debate with McCain because they respect one another. The campaign between Hillary and McCain will be about the substantive issues and with the mood of the country where it is and the economy in the crapper, Clinton will win in November.
She'll pick him as her running mate and he will accept this position because he won't have any choice.
You heard it here first :)
