5. Only chance would be a brokered convention... |
where any the candidates could not get a majority of delegates after many ballots and Al was entered as a unity candidate. Not very likely.

8. If neither Obama nor Clinton get 2,025 delegates |
there will be a brokered convention. If there is a brokered convention, I might even get excited about this election.

9. That would really piss off Obama and Hillary supporters |
If nobody has enough delegates? Its possible. But at this point I don't think it would be widely accepted.

He's on to bigger and more important things...he's found his voice and place on the world stage and I'm grateful he's there. He's been the counterbalance to all the destructiveness of the past 8 years and I suspect if a Democrat is elected in November, he'll have a role in helping re-establish those relationships.

16. Sure, but the millions of voters who voted for Obama or Hillary might be angry if |
the convention chose someone who did not even run.

18. How can you have a brokered convention with only two candidates? |
Are there ANY third or fourth candidate votes on the first ballot?

20. RE: How can you have a brokered convention with only two candidates? |
The point being that it is close enough that super delegates can break on different lines of thought and possibly end up with a stalemate on the first vote. No one has succeeded at running away with this election and there is a lot for the super delegates to digest before they cast their votes.
