What are the Republicans up to?
In the course of this campaign season, at different times Republicans have urged their members to vote for Clinton or Obama. By doing this, they are trying to play us. In this forum it's well known that Clinton supporters attack Obama for getting Republican support and Obama supporters attack Clinton for getting Republican support, so we are pretty easy to play.

I think the Republicans are trying to do two things:

The Republicans know they will have a hard time in November unless the Democrats are very divided. When Hillary was ahead, Republicans urged people to vote for Obama. Now that Obama is ahead, Republicans are doing the opposite. They are doing what they can to divide us and polarize us, and they are having some success. They need a contentious Democratic convention, and as the Convention approaches they will try to divide the young Obama activists and the Clinton feminists in the hopes of provoking a bitter if not violent Convention. Consider that the Republican Convention takes place a few days after the Democratic one, and imagine the dreadful PR of a contentious Democratic Convention. It could cost the Democrats the White House.

Also, I think what the Republicans are trying to do is find a better meme than just the one about Republicans changing parties, and it sounds better for them if they say that Republicans are voting for Clinton (or Obama) out of loyalty to the Republican Party. So far, this meme seems to be dominating, but it's absurd to think that there are tens of thousands of Republicans who would engage in political sabotage activities, and there's plenty of evidence that Obama and Clinton have some genuine support among Republicans.

After Bush I hardly see a 'plan' with the GOP. Just win.
It seems that people will do anything to win. How one plays the game is long gone from anything we know. I also think it is what keeps so many people from voting. I get this feeling each time I vote. Do I want to go down and vote for these men that seem like such crooks? I wonder about my self being sane when I do it. I have been voting since Ike ran and I swear I can re-call some one always saying to me on the day I vote. 'Why do it, they are all crooks.' Turns one off on the whole thing but I can not figure what else we have. I guess we just have to hope the crooks run in ages and they are bad in this 10 years and not as bad the next 10 years. I think right now we are ready for some one like a new face like Obama but I am not sure enough are that brave. It is so easy to keep what you know and have seen even if you are not that happy with them. It has to be why we keep voting half these nuts back into office. Like the Clinton's and just look at this one thing. Their money and why we can not find out where they are getting it all and what they have sold out to get it. I mean she had 5 Million to loan her self. But God help Obama for making an error on a strip of land.
