35. self-respect is not an issue , this is politics.
Hillary is obviously positioning to retain as much power as possible by getting the VEEP nomination.

the reason i asked you for a link is because your post is blatantly false

nobody has "offered" any type of unity ticket, and suggesting that hillary is "offering" anything "first" from her statement "that may be where this is headed" is asinine.

here is what happened:

she was asked, point blank, whether she and Obama should be running mates. Her response: "That may be where this is headed, but of course we have to decide who is on the top of ticket. I think the people of Ohio very clearly said that it should be me."

7. Yeah, right -- with her as VEEP? I don't think so ...
She's only "offering" this idea in order to save herself from being blamed for a floor fight in Denver. And tying Obama to her ticket just to get his supporters to go along ... then treat him the same way Bill treated Al Gore during his administration (kicked to the curb while the other Clinton serves as the REAL second in command). That's one scenario I hope NEVER comes to pass.

:argh:

13. She would put a guy who can only make speeches a heartbeat away from the presidency? Really?
Edited on Wed Mar-05-08 04:33 PM by John Q. Citizen
That doesn't sound like she has much experience with running the country.

Why would she endanger us like that?

If I was an independent voting in the primary, I'd think that either she lied about Obama out of pure amibition, or that she really doesn't have the experience to run the country. Take your pick.

McCain would be the better choice especially if he picks a capable VP.

How could any strong intelligent person chose an incompetant to put a heartbeat away from the oval office?

Depending on how he conducts his campaign. If he uses Rove/Clinton tactics than no way. I'll simply not vote for a president, but fill out the rest of the ballot.

23. She would be good for the Obama team in the senate
and show people she could do something and get health care passed. I agree with you.

Never as VP. She would be out to get him. I still feel that if Hillary and Bill where the VP's to Pres Gore and Gore did what Bill did, they would not have supported and did everything to get the Presiendency. Just my opinion. I hope Obama watches his back with them.

Obama is smart to not take her as VP and if she takes him, he would be never heard about unless there was a funeral to go to. I also do not think they help each others ticket and would lose in Nov.

26. Obama will NEVER allow her to be VP
NEVER!!!!! He will force her to be dragged out of the convention kicking and screaming if necessery.

-She accused him of plagiarism when she does the same thing

-She said he has done nothing his whole life except make a speech

- She ridiculed and mocked his supporters

-"Change you can xerox"

-"Shame on you Barack Obama"

-Her campaign staff floated the muslim rumor earlier in the campaign

-Her staff circulated a picture of him in muslim garb

- She knows he's not a muslim though, at least far as she knows

course. How conveeeeenient for her to imply people could vote for HER and get Obama, too, as VP. Ain't gonna happen.

not want unity. He wants to be big cheese, without experience. The guy's still wet behind the ears. Gen. Clark or Joe Biden would be a better choice for Hillary Clinton.
