Something for the Obama campaign to consider... |
|
I think that part of Clinton's success in this past primary round is the fact that her ads produced sound bytes that people can remember, such as "the 3AM call". Obama relies more on discussion and explanations. I think that the majority of the electorate are not like those who frequent blogs and internet sources, they don't delve deeply into the issues. As good as it may have been, a two minute commercial may be way too long for the base that Hillary is going after.
"Yes We Can" worked, but there needs to be a defining catchy phrase that addresses all of the issues- either questioning Hillary's qualifications or boosting his.
Ya think?

HRC caught a break with the Naftagate-- milking it for more than it was worth. And she's playing up the Rezco. Obama can't reciprocate with old clinton land deals. and it would take too long for hit back with why he's better at judgment-- the war vote has been played out in this cycle. Obama needs to go nuclear without offending women. His best gambit-- HRC can't be trusted as a leader because she will surrounded with flawed surrogates-- Penn, Carville, and yes Big Dog-- who are all happy with the status quo and GOP-lite. He has to say this and he has to say it now. He also needs to make an issue not that HRC's 35 yers experience is not executive experience and that any hands on she had has been harmful to working class America.

3. If she continues to bring up Rezco |
|
He needs to bring up every shady fundraiser in the Clinton's closet.

6. When one steps on your hopes |
|
You need to fight back to realize that. Remember "God helps those who help themselves." Your problem is that you seem to be confusing hopefulness with helplessness.
I'll never get tired of hearing "hope" and I'm no spring chicken.

5. "The Three Faces of Hill" I think would make a good ad. |
|
Voice over "Is America ready for a president with multiple personality disordrer?"
Face 1. Here's Hill saying Obama isn't ready or qualified to be president.
Face 2. Here's Hill the Next day saying maybe Obama should be on her ticket, a heart beat away from thre Oval Office.
Face 3. Here's Hill saying McCain is more qualified than Obama is.
Voice over "Which Hillary would you want to be President?
Then they could keep doing the same basic theme ad with new content such as Hill criticizing bush, Hill kissing up to bush and Hill and Hill voting for bush's war
or
Hill speaking in favor of NAFTA, Hill speaking against NAFTA, and Hill accusing Obama of being inconsistant on NAFTA. "Which Hill would you vote for"

8. The Clinton Campaign has definitely had more zingers |
|
she also tried to make "Change you can Xerox" stick. I hate corny marketing, but it works.

9. Hillary benefitted from a perfect storm against Obama |
|
He got a bunch of bad press throughout the week, and yet she still only netted a handful of delegates after leading by over 20 points just a few weeks ago. She will try to spin it, but she is running out of time. There are seven weeks to go until PA. Any momentum she may have gained last night will have evaporated, and she might even feel the sting of backlash for her tactics.

10. "Behind closed doors" |
|
What do you guys think of that. All of the scandals, all of the tactics, all of the negotiations, are all done "behind closed doors". That is what she is all about. Obama needs to "open them up". Let people see the newness, freshness, sharpness, of someone who doesn't want to be "behind closed doors." Every time he mentions her name he should call her the "behind closed doors" type of candidate.
He also should put an ad up with a picture of Laura Bush next to Hillary and ask the question "Does Hillary Clinton think that Laura Buxh should be president someday after she serves one term as senator? They both have about the same experience traveling the world. First Ladies, both." I prefer Senator Barack Obama's judgment to this kind of experience anyday."
These are just a couple of the ideas that I've been tumbling around in my head.....what do you think.
