Ten-second NAFTA! ...OR what the HELL is Hillary trying to pull!!

In a fifty words or less, please post your understanding/theory/fantasy of the NAFTA flap as is currently stands.

Here's mine:

Team Clinton contacted a Great White Puke who subsequently had one of his evil lackeys approach one of Team Obama's people in order to throw a wrench into Obama's Ohio campaign by baiting a generically diplomatic response which could easily be used to demonstrate duplicity.

(Admittedly, I don't really know anything about this.)

who published an article naming both campaigns.

However, the published reports by the United States' press left Clinton out of the story for some unknown reason.

A memo surfaced that recounted the Advisor to Obama to have stated that whatever the campaign stated was for political positioning.

Memo was used by Clinton campaign to win Ohio.

After Obama's primary loss in Ohio, Reuters and CBC reported that memo writer had admitted to having distorted Obama advisor's comments, and that advisor had not stated anything contrary to Obama's position on the campaign trail. The same memo writer admitted to having received a phone call stating that comments by Clinton campaign were to be taken "with a grain of salt".

Big investigation in Canada on the leak aspect of the story, to divert from the fact that memo author has already admitted to misrepresenting Obama advisor's statement in the memo.

(edited to add that the U.S. media is no longer pushing this story, including no mention to Obama being cleared to the fact that memo and what was said was not the same. Also no mention from our brave newspeople that the Clinton campaign was implicated from the getgo.)

5. Thank you. Has anybody figured out if the Canadians contacted Team Obama

after Team Clinton contacted the Canadians? Do we have a time-line somewhere?

6. Here's my theory (a plausible hunch):

1. A Clinton operative contacts Harper's PMO on the QT with the "take our NAFTA comments with a grain of salt" comment.
2. Harper's Chief of Staff Brodie, in budget lockup with journalists, stupidly lets this tidbit spill while trying to look like a well-connected bigshot.
3. Brodie realizes his fuckup, and calls the Embassy in Washington, tells them to contact the Obama camp and get something from them he can leak, to help cover his tracks. This will provide added benefit of helping derail the Obama campaign.
4. Embassy staff contact Obama campaign, have some kind of discussion which they document in a bullshit memo. They let the CTV reporter know of this. Pre-Ohio story about Obama gets out.
5. To solidify the Obama story, the bullshit memo is conveniently leaked.
