The ticket will be Clinton-Obama, get used to it, Hillary is going to destroy the hope peddler |
|
If Obama goes negative and brings up all sorts of Ken Starr bullshit, Hillary will have free reign to attack Obama with impunity and Hillary is a great warrior when she is being picked on. An angry black man picking on a woman? She's going to take Obama to school. She's a much better attacker than Bill. She will tear Obama apart limb for limb and expose him for the fraud that he is.
She will win Pennsylvania by 20 points, then come back strong and go all out to win North Carolina and try to break Obama's back in a state he is favored in. North Carolina has similar demographics to Tennessee where Hillary did very well. It's not South Carolina. She will win and demoralize Obama's troops.
So you talk about math and the that she's still going to lose the pledged delegates? So fucking what. The superdelegates follow momentum. They will abandon Obama like a two dollar bill once their shiny new toy becomes broken and damaged.
She'll have enough superdelegates wrapped up before the convention because all the party hacks will be fearful what the Clinton's will do at the convention, not to mention they will be afraid for their own self interests. Harold Ickes knows where every skeleton in this party is buried. Nobody is pure in politics. There are democrats that have done some very, very bad things that would destroy their careers if exposed. And Harold Ickes knows.
All Hillary has to do is continue winning the big states and surprise Obama in a state or two that he is favored in and the nomination is hers.
Hillary will then offer Obama VP for party unity because she won't be able to put the party back together without him.
And he will accept because he knows what will happen if he doesn't accept.
A broken party and riots all across America with probably dozens of innocent people killed. He'll accept the VP spot. He's not a fool. He doesn't want the blood on his hands.
The Clinton's know exactly what they are doing and by going harshly negative Obama will destroy everything that makes him unique and fall right into the Clinton's trap for him.
The Clinton's are the best junkyard dogs in politics and god love 'em for it. They have the basic carnal instinct to win at all costs. There is a reason there has only been 1 democratic president in 28 years.

I'll do what I hardly ever see the Obama supporters do -- denounce this ill-toned OP. I'm a Hillary supporter and I'll go out on a limb and speak on behalf of other Hillary supporters and say we don't need posts like this. The Clinton/Obama ticket is the only part of the OP I like.

Clinton actually got a lower percentage of the vote in '92 than Dukakis did (43 compared to 46%) and then even after four years as president against doddering old Bob Dole Clinton couldn't even manage 50%.

6. Oh but it's okay for Hillary to go negative and practically endorse McCain over Obama? |
|
This is all going to back fire on Hillary. I think alot of Democratic Super delegates will look at this and say that Hillary is going to far and will intervene and say that Hillary is going to far in her attacks and is aiding the enemy and will come out for Obama to end this thing asap. It won't be Clinton/Obama and it won't be Obama/Clinton because Obama is too smart to take her on his ticket. She has too much baggage and offers the past not the future.

10. Um, you can't "destroy" someone and expose them as a "fraud" |
|
and then name them as your V.P.
So I guess you'll have to live with it, and then I guess the blood will be on Hillary's hands.
And are you saying that Hillary will get the nomination by having Harold Ickes kneecap a bunch of SDs? Wow, that would be like the Repubicans. I've never said this before, and I've voted for every Democrat, state, local, and national, for the past 36 years. But if that were to happen, in the way you describe it, I might just have to sit this one out.
But it won't happen that way. l think you need to chill (the nicest way I can phrase it without having my post deleted).

had she not gone negative. It's too late for that
Now I believe he'd turn down a VP offer, let her run alone, and lose. He could run again in 2012 or 2016 and be an even more viable candidate.
To that end, instead of accepting the VP position, I could see him asking for a guaranteed leadership position in the Senate. Don't know how likely that is. But it would be better for his career than tying his fortunes to a morally challenged "power couple" in the Clintons.

Get a grip, if Hillary can dish it, then she needs to get prepared to take it. I suggest you don't underestimate Obama and the American people for that matter...they will see through that 'oh I'm just a poor lil white woman' routine. I dare Hill to pull the angry black man card, it will be political suicide. She already comes across as angry and racist in all of her debates. The American people will surely sympathize with Obama if she does that. If that's what you want then go for it.

3. Their operatives were deeply involved in Kerry's campaign, giving bad advice and later giving away Kerry's strategy to fight against the voter fraud in Ohio so that the Bush camp could get word to Ken Blackwell.

There is only one state left that could remotely be considered "big," and even if she won it 100% it wouldn't be enough. What the hell is wrong with you people? DO THE MATH! No matter what happens, neither candidate can get to the "magic number," and Obama is certain to lead, both in pledged delegates and superdelegates. The only possible way she can win is if the SDs decide to destroy the party by giving it to her, for no rational reason whatsoever. This isn't opinion; it is fact. Why can't you Clinton people see the truth? Are you so jonesing for a woman president, it doesn't matter to you at all what that woman is like, or how much she destroys to get there? Pull your heads out!

if BO doesn't go all the way, he will never get another REALISTIC shot at the white house. PERIOD. That's why he has to accept a VP slot if it comes down to that. On the other hand, Hillary can decline the VP slot and run again in '12 regardless of who is the sitting president.
On going negative on Hillary, especially bringing up the old stuff, I really don't think he is that stupid, It would be political suicide.

If she "takes Obama to school" and "tears him apart limb for limb" like you suggest, I'd honestly rather him decline the VP slot, give the obligatory endorsement but do no more than necessary to give the appearance of support, not lift a finger to get African Americans to come out for her, and let her go down because she can't win without them. Then she'll be finished and he'll get another chance in 4 years.

Yup, this is just the vision for America I would expect from a Hillary backer:
"Hillary will then offer Obama VP for party unity because she won't be able to put the party back together without him.
And he will accept because he knows what will happen if he doesn't accept.
A broken party and riots all across America with probably dozens of innocent people killed. He'll accept the VP spot. He's not a fool. He doesn't want the blood on his hands."
Hillary's vision of Hope and Change. You've got that part about right.

I think anyone who resorts to negative campaigning has serious doubts about their own capability to lead, therefore tries to bring their opponent down to their level.
But Hillary should have thought about the implications of her actions. She might wish she was member of a sect that has to wear an abaya with only her eyes showing once the gloves come off the GOP and their campaign tactics against her!!!

She has to get the nomination first.
That means going to the convention with 100-175 delegates less and convincing 64%-85% of the reaminaing superdelegates (Assuming the 50 Super delegate block for Obama does NOT happen) to overturn 6 months of primaries and caucuses...
Yeah... that's likely. Can I sell you tickets to the 2008 World Series -- It's the Pirates vs the Royals...
