What will Hillary's excuse be after all of the states primaries/caucuses? |
|
She cannot gain the number of needed delegates to earn the nomination through the will of the voters, so what is she gonna do? Is she gonna beg superdelegates to overturn to will of the people and anoint her the democratic nominee?
If so, she should be prepared to reap the whirlwind and negative backlash that would strike the party. The million-plus people who have donated (less than $100 in 90% of the cases) to Obama's campaign will feel, rightfully so, disenfranchised and may not go over to McCain, but would more likely just stay home with their millions of dollars, support, and votes in the Fall. This is not some kind of threat, but a simple observation. A new generation of voters would see that their voices do not count and would likely turn their backs on the Democrats (including those running for local and state offices) and possibly never participate in politics again.
Is Hillary so greedy that even though she cannot fairly win the nomination that she will slash and burn the party to its core just so that she can have her limited time on the throne in the White House?
Hillary supporters, please save me the 'who needs you, blah blah blah' because you and the Democratic party do need the millions of people, many of which have been turned on to politics for the first time. If Obama were in the same position and acting in the same manner as is Hillary, I would also be demanding that he step aside for the good of the party and country. Let's think of the greater good of the party and the country. We need a Democratic president, Congress, and most importantly a Democrat appointed Supreme Court majority in order to save us from a generation of never ending war, an end to our civil liberties, and life shaped by PNAC and the neocons. This is our best and possibly last chance for a generation to change the path that our country is heading down.

1. The media is unfair! Caucuses are unfair! Omitting FL and MI is unfair! |
|
How can someone so obviously unable to roll with the punches be expected to deal with the stresses of being President?

2. That she won SOME of the big states all by a hair? |
|
Let's get real on the big state debate. She took narrow margins in many of them, and didn't perform to near the level in her own state than she did against Obama in his... AND SHE GREW UP HERE (IL). Just yesterday it was announced that she ended up losing 4 delegates in CA once the votes were finalized. That gave obama a gain of 8 delegates. She'll lose TX when that is over with. She's banking on two states, one in which she was the only candidate on the ballot - and 40% of the voters voted for uncommitted over her. And the other was a no contest state.
She has no legitimate excuse. But she'll try her best to ruin any chance for Obama so she can go again in 2012.

3. your lengthy rant obfuscates the real point. Super Delegates are NOT going to flock to her |
|
if this goes to the Convention.
Obama will have a significantly higher number of pledged delegates More states won More states campaigned in More money raised More viable to independants, moderates More positive influence down ticket
