TeamClinton constantly mentions the SHARED ticket because they KNOW that's ALL they can hope for. |
|
Edited on Fri Mar-07-08 03:00 PM by blm
Mr blm's newsroom has the details of a study that surveyed the leanings of all the superdelegates. The study concluded that there is no scenario that Hillary can win.
I don't know when the report will get published, it has been on hold for a couple days now. I expect it to become public soon. TeamClinton knows these facts, too.
Hillary's camp right now is playing a game of pressuring Obama to include them on the ticket or the attacks will continue.
THAT is the character of the Clinton campaign. They KNOW they can't win it, but will undermine and attack the presumptive nominee until they gain something from it.
On edit: I will also go on record and state that TeamClinton is wasting their time with the shared ticket pressure. They say it in hopes Obama's supporters come around to the idea for the 'sake of the party' to stop the attacks.
It AIN'T gonna happen.

11. It won't stop them from manipulating PERCEPTION. Their egos are large enough to |
|
think that if they DID get the VP spot, they could push Obama to agree with their agenda. Thinking they can manipulate Obama the way Cheney manipulates Bushboy.

Saying that clearly the people of Ohio think she should be on top of that ticket. Even though she can't win, she thinks she should get the top slot.

6. No, she's trying to create the perception she's winning and a better GE candidate |
|
For two reasons.
1.) To build momentum for the remaining primaries/caucuses.
2.) So when it comes time for the super delegates to decide the nomination, the public perception will be that Hillary Clinton may have a few less vanilla delegates, but she is the choice of the majority of Dems and would be a better candidate. If the final delegate count is close enough, this perception could put her over the top.

It is nothing short of abusive to insult Obama, then dangling him out as her running mate, if she so desires him.
She's caught in her own web, cornered and desperate.

I think it is one of the many roundabout ways she is trying to get the nomination herself. I don't think she wants the VP position, age being one of the reasons, but definitely not the only one. She is trying to manipulate perception and possible SD votes that she thinks may lead to a nomination. So yes, I think she sees advantages in the aptly called "nightmare ticket", that much is pretty obvious, but no, I don't think she is angling for the VP slot.

either.
They want the pressure on Obama to be from supers and from his own supporters wanting the attacks to stop.
I think Obama will tough it out without caving to the pressure.

She wants black people to think if they vote for her she'll put Obama on the ticket. She is so diabolically evil that my skin crawls when I type her name.

However, I've been at this since McGovern and at this rate Clinton is going to walk away with it.
