Hillary's Unreleased Tax Returns Now Make Her Riskiest Candidate for November
The last debate, however, pointed to a risk of a Clinton candidacy even larger than Bill himself. Asked whether she would release her tax returns, Hillary waffled, finally agreeing to do so prior to the nomination, but not before Ohio/Texas primary day. Her excuse: she is too busy on the campaign trail to collect all those documents.

Huh? Her tax returns are already done and submitted to the IRS. She does not have to collect papers. All she need do is leave her accountant a voice mail (about 15 seconds), and have him hit the "send" button on his computer that stores her returns. If she can watch Saturday Night Live and MSNBC (she referred to her having watched them during the debate), then she certainly has 15 seconds to provide her accountant instructions to send out her tax returns.

What is Hillary hiding from Democratic voters?

We're still waiting, Hill.

1. That, and Bill's Library donors, their business deals with foreign interests, their
association with unscrupulous fund-raisers, and possibly some hanky-panky on Bill's part.

19. Did you see on here today the Picture of Howard Wolfson
He was dressed up in a funny outfit and leadig a protest at Rick Lazio's office for Hillary against Rick not releasing his tax returns. Her whole team is a bunch of hypocrites. Why the press does not show this stuff when she opens her mouth on the tax returns.

Watch out, they will play a game with them and then after nov they will have made a mistake and forgot something. They do this all the time.

18. Then she is not above scrutiny.
She demanded to see tax returns from her opponent in her Senate cmpaign.

Now she stonewalls the release of her own records, both her tax records and her records as First Lady.

Why is she keeping this information from Democratic voters?

I believe it is foolish to trust a politician who acts in this manner.

Hillary lied when she said she didn't have time to release the info. Lied to the American people on national tv, just like hubby.

11. Maybe we should get Wolfson to dress up in an uncle Sam costume like he did for Lazio
You must remember that, right?

How Hillary called Lazio out for not releasing his Tax returns.

You must see the hypocrisy in this.

And don't give me that crap about waiting for Tax Time.
These are years worth of returns, not just 2007.

5. if she flat out refused
to release them at all - even after getting the nomination - I could understand it. A case could be made that her and Bill finances aren't the publics business. I don't agree but the case could be made.
What I don't understand is her statement that she'll release them after she gets the nomination or sometime in April. It is just begging people to wonder what damaging info is in those returns.

13. Obama released their 2006 tax return - Clinton has not
http://thinkonthesethings.wordpress.com/2007/05/13/only-obama-releasing-his-tax-returns-to-public/

Only Barack Obama is comfortable enough to have released his 2006 income tax returns. John Edwards and others are keeping theirs private. It is funny because Edwards stated a week ago that he would release how much he earned working for the hedge fund. Guess he changed his mind.
,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,

What about those tax returns?
Posted: Friday, February 29, 2008 3:13 PM by Mark Murray

http://firstread.msnbc.msn.com/archive/2008/02/29/717817.aspx

Senator Obama has made a practice of releasing his tax returns (the summary and the schedules), because he believes that after seven years of secrecy from the Bush Administration, we need increased transparency in our government. Allowing voters to evaluate this information is good for the process, but this is particularly true when a candidate decides to use his or her own personal fortunes to fund their campaign, which Senator Clinton did when she loaned her campaign $5 million.

20. I disagree. She's released the last 20 years of tax returns already. What makes
Obama the riskiest candidate is (1) his naive comment on the national stage about willingness to strike militarily and unilaterally at Pakistan (which the international press picked up and was appalled by); (2) his church (like it or not, that is going to make him risky); (3) the outcome of the Rezko trial; (4) his aide's statement to the Scottish press that Obama's "plan" to withdraw all troops from Iraq is a "best-case scenario," and not a plan he intends to follow at all; (5) the call to Canada about NAFTA; (6) the fact that he's won so many delegates from caucuses, which represent a very select group of individuals; (6) the fact that he has not garnered the most votes from Democrats, and this is the Democratic Party; (7) by November, he will have had many, many months to demonstrate his lack of political experience; (7) the Republican-made documentary on him which is coming out late this summer (I'm sure THAT will be complimentary...); (8) he will have lost the largest states in the primary, except for his own home state, which does not bode well for him in the general; (9) he, like Bush, states that he will be relying primarily on his advisors and we've had enough of that already; (10) if he goes on the offensive, he loses his credibility in claiming to be a candidate focused on "unity," "hope," and "new politics" and becomes just another nasty politician.

I could think of more, but that's a start.
