BACK OF THE BUS???????????????????
Did I just hear what I thought I heard? GOP yapper Kellyanne Conway on Larry King? Saying the Clinton campaign wants Obama seated on the back of the bus on her campaign?

Seriously what kind of crap is that? Conway should be ashamed.

2. You should hear what the GOP are telling the racist element
in the South. "Back of the bus" is nice in comparison. I just hope some idiot doesn't decide to get violent and try to do violence against Obama. It's chilling to hear the "good old boys" (their term for themselves, btw) matter of factly talk about how Obama will not be President.

8. I work in an area with 2 Klan groups,
and a Dominion "Christian" group--they use another "n" word when they don't call him a "mud person". They are so full of hate that they discriminate against darker skinned Caucasians, like Italians. They give me the creeps and I try to avoid them.

16. True story from college.
I was a freshman from Ole Miss living in a dorm, and some of the guys from my floor were in the common room one night watching TV, BSing, etc. This was 1996, and the Clinton-Dole election was on everyone's minds.

One guy asked another, "So who ya voting for?"
The other replied, "Well.. who are all of the n****** voting for?"
His reply: "Clinton."
The response: "Then I'm voting for the other guy. Dole."

No one batted an eye. In fact, there were some nods of agreement.

I left the room. This New Orleans boy was surprised that the "racist element" was so unabashed about its views.

And I hope that this kind of slip-up reminds some of us around here of who the real political enemy is.

...she tried the analogy that being offered the VP Obama would be relegated to the back of the bus. It didn't work.

Whatta jerk.

9. I cannot stand her
...and yes, she meant EXACTLY that. There's a perception - one that I haven't weighed in on yet in my own mind - that Hillary's tone is that Obama, who she is constantly accusing of not being good enough to be president, is good enough to be her VP. It could be interpreted to have a racial tone to it. That's what this hypocrit is inferring. I don't know if Hillary is talking in racial code again or not, but I DO know that this Kellyanne *expletive - you choose* could give a shit about a black Democratic candidate, or anyone who would vote for him. She's the typical Republican who loves to scream RACIST! at Democrats while making sure that the Republican agenda, lethal to the black community, becomes permanent. If anyone wants to hate anybody, I offer her up as the perfect candidate (pun intended, LOL).

11. HIllary sure seems to be treating that way
She has lost it and still is acting like he can be on the back side of her ticket. Amazing.

Just remember how many delegates she lost this week and how after winning Ohio and RI and the tie in Tx but Obama getting more delegates. Obama is up 12 this week from Monday and 4 less states to be counted. How about Calif sending 8 more delegates and here NY will be sending Obama some more soon.

14. Welcome to DU!
Mind if I share a kind of a long story? Back in the early 50s my mother took her three kids on a trip to her home state of Texas to visit our grandparents. It was a Greyhound bus trip from where we happened to be in Mew Mexico at the time, although we had been raised in western Washington State. I'll spare you the details of my first exposure to "colored/whites only rest rooms, water fountains, etc.", but it was a true eye opener to the 11-year-old I was at the time. When we finally reached the town where my grandparents resided, we boarded a city bus that took us to our destination. My sister, a 15-year-old in the throes of teenage rebellion, headed with her suitcase toward the back of the bus. My mother, Texas born and bred, knew the rules of the road and instructed my sister to turn around and come back to the front of the bus where my mom, brother and I were seated. My sister in a loud voice demanded, "Why should I do that?" My mother explained, her voice as low as possible, that we were in the south, where only Blacks sat at the back of the bus. My sister--bless her!--replied loud enough for all to hear, "Well, I'm glad I don't live in the south!"

My sister/best friend died many years ago in a vehicle accident, but her spirit of compassion and fairness was a part of her all the days she inhabited the earth, and this is one of my favorite stories about her. I will never stop missing her!

Hope nobody minds me sharing this. If Hillary wants to shuffle Barack to the back of the bus, shame on her. May my sister's wonderful and loving spirit haunt her forever!

Tired Old Cynic

22. I heard it. That and Tweety's "Ghettoization" comment yesterday have made
my head spin. I was really almost more astounded by the performance of Lanny Davis, however, with his "Ohio is all that matters" strategy for saying the SDs should pick Hillary because Obama can't win any of the "big red" states.

24. In defense of matthews,
ghettoization is not a racist term. It simply means segregation according to race.

He was asking whether the vote would just segregate by race.

Whoever gets the nomination, there'll be all sorts of crypto-bigotry tossed off from the pundits and walk-ons. The good thing is that a few of them will overstep what few bounds there seem to be and flame out in full view.

she's a Republican vomitus shill. It's Hillary Clinton, whose road-rage vituperation disguised as condescending fake-nice campaign rhetoric that Conway was interpreting, who should be even more ashamed. I heard pretty much the same thing Conway did - between the lines.
