Laura Bush: 14 Years of Experience! Ready on Day One!
Edited on Sat Mar-08-08 12:08 PM by Stephanie

The Current First Lady has tons of experience, just like the Former First Lady! If Walnuts implodes, she's ready! On day one! As far as I know.

She's made harrowing landings in government aircraft:

She's met with visiting heads of state:

She has extensive experience in diplomatic missions abroad:

She's consulted with foreign policy officials regularly:

She's given groundbreaking speeches on a number of issues:

And worked on behalf of children everywhere:

Plus she can answer the phone, even outdoors:

Not sure that she's brokered any peace deals, but looks like she's off to do that now:

Laura Bush, Just As Experienced as McCain, and Probably Just as Nutty!

as if there is ANY comparison to be made beyond their positions.

I'd compare Hillary Clinton to Eleanor Roosevelt, not the vacuous Laura.

15. I agree. I think comparing her with Eleanor is much more apt
though I'd certainly place Eleanor above her. I do believe that Hillary has the right to claim experience from at least part of the time she spent in the White House.

11. Excuse me, but Senator Clinton has 7 years of experience representing
the people of New York. She serves on the Armed Services Committee, as well as Environment & Pubic Works, Health, Education, Labor & Pensions, and the Senate Special Committee on Aging.

This "Pickles has just as much experience as Shrillary" nonsense is just another lie being spread here on ObamaMonster Underground.

20. Oh, another borrowed joke from the Right Wingers. A couple of years ago they were floating the idea
of a Laura Bush run as a way to demean Hillary and her accomplishments. At this point I can't say I'm surprised to see Obama supporters putting forth the same argument, even though the only thing Laura and Hillary have in common is the First Lady role. For one thing, Hillary is a graduate of Yale Law and, well, Laura isn't.

Edited on Sat Mar-08-08 12:24 PM by faygokid
Perfect! None of that "hope" garbage for her, either!

On Iraq: "Why should we hear about body bags and deaths? Oh, I mean, it's not relevant. So why should I waste my beautiful mind on something like that?"

On Katrina: "What I'm hearing, which is sort of scary, is they all want to stay in Texas. Everyone is so overwhelmed by the hospitality. And so many of the people in the arena here, you know, were underprivileged anyway, so this is working very well for them."

See? Solutions, not speeches!

"America's Grandmother, Barbara Bush, is also the woman who did not attend the funeral of her own Mother nor the funeral of her then three year old daughter Robin who died of luekemia.

The day after Robin Bush died of leekemia at the age of three, George H. W. Bush and Barbara Bush
played a round of golf. There was no funeral for Robin Bush and she was buried in New York--not
transported back to Texas where the Bush's lived at the time."

47. Intheozone's complaint really has no substance. Why question the comparison if everyone is confident
that HRC was a superior First Lady to Laura Bush? I would think that supporters of HRC would be shouting it from the rooftops, with the evidence, as you say, that could be provided by the WH schedules.

38. Remind me again what happened during that time?
a) H Clinton's role as first lady was significantly different than L Bush. GW Bush campaigned on the fact that he intended her to have only a marginal role in his administration. A role she's fulfilled admirably, one prozac at a time.
b) What happened in Texas, and later in the administration while her husband was president? What about Clinton?

I get tired of the frequent claims of sexism driving Hillary's opposition. Sometimes, however, I am forced to concede that they have a point.

Hillary and Laura have only one thing in common - they are women. In reality, they're not alike. They performed different roles and they can't be treated interchangeably.

Which isn't worth anything after the string of lies she's told in this campaign. Tell her to release the records of her WH schedule so we can make an informed analysis.
