Why do they call a Clinton/Obama ticket 'the dream team'? |
|
Am I the only one that feels a little nauseous when hearing of this scenario?

1. Because it would unite Dems |
|
and trounce McCain.
The big problem our party has right now is one ANY party would wish to have - we have two very formidable candidates. The Republicans couldn't scrape together one.

it is the only conceivable way out of this mess without somebody really bloody and a probable muckain victory

12. I don't know about that. |
|
I think many will view this as a phony display of unity between 2 people who hate each other. I would vote for it of course but my vote isn't the one that we need to worry about.
I can see the McCain campaign ads now. I'm telling ya'.....it would be a recipe for disaster.

People here believe they do, but they're politically naive.
Politicians don't take this stuff personally. Plus, it doesn't matter even if they DO hate each other - you think Kennedy and Johnson were buds? Reagan and Bush? Nah... if it helps the ticket, they'll do it.

they hate each other.
I know people here would like to believe they do, but it's just not true.

I'd say that's a pretty damn good reason, despite your gastric troubles.

5. Barack would be an awful VP candidate in the GE |
|
We’ve all seen how his campaign crumbled under the slightest criticisms. He’s too weak and inexperienced plus he's polarizing.

It's just another attempt from her campaign to tell minorities they should settle for 2nd best.

9. Right now, for Hillary and many of her supporters... |
|
it's the only way she can come out of this on the ticket.
I don't think she adds anything to the Democratic ticket as VP... Obama is going to need someone with that 3am experience to balance the ticket... that's not Hillary.
Maybe Clark, maybe Biden, maybe even a Webb, but not Hillary.
Mostly, Hillary is using this line in Mississippi with black voters... "don't reach too high now, Obama can be a good house nig.., err, VP, yeah... so if you vote for me, I'll put him on the ticket, so it's really like voting for BOTH of us... besides you know what happens to uppity ..., err, black leaders in the south"

10. Because it is only possible in a dream |
|
not reality
They are opposite, they both think they should be on the top of the ticket, (and so far O is, but H positions herself publicly like she is) there are hard feelings there now, and it is going to get worse.
Dream on, as the song goes.

Put Hillary with anyone and the repugs will come out in masses to defeat her. Then the McLame nightmare begins and lasts four years.
