2. I don't understand how the turn out can continually be under estimated. Sooner or later they have
catch on. THERE IS HOPE OF CHANGE IN THE AIR!!

5. I know! And how come, in state after state, we hear "they've run out of ballots"?
Can't anyone think ahead and have some extra ballots printed up??

8. Ballots, etc.
My experience in the caucus here in WA showed me that the people who have been running these things for years are old and tired, and unprepared for big turnouts. By sheer pressure, I was pressed into becoming a precinct chairman by the sweet old guy who's been doing it forever. It's time for new people to get involved.

13. They have fixed spendatures, and caucuses are a lot lower than poll primaries.
If these caucuses had the same turnout as polls then the system would come to a skreeching halt. Fortunately for the system it doesn't allow everyone to vote.

10. Not if your nasty ruthless dirty candidate gets the nod as a result of slime politics!
those numbers will significantly decrease! All the new voters who came out because they are digusted with Bush and want something new and different from the politics of deception that brought us the Iraq war will sit home! You can't count on rush limbaugh supporters in the general.

I really don't understand the mindset of anyone who could continue to support Hillary Clinton given actions. There is no boundary of decency that she will not cross.

Hillary will cause this country to sustain 4 more years of republcan rule and the dems will lose their majority if she is on the ticket.

12. It's likely either candidate will garner record turnouts.
This is pretty much indisputable in our consumer oriented "specticle."

22. Will she thank her supporters after she loses?
She hasn't to date, but it would be a nice change of pace to acknowledge them at least.

If you believe I am in error in stating that FACT, show me where I am wrong.

They changed the caucus location and time this week, while we were still getting Obama fliers telling us the old time and location.

31. Least populous state, reliably red, no help in the general election
Edited on Sat Mar-08-08 04:22 PM by PurityOfEssence
Yes, it's another victory. If it had twice as many people it'd be a little bigger than San Jose. If it had half again as many people as it does, it'd still be smaller than San Francisco, California's fourth-largest largest city.

Rhode Island's got twice as many people.

Hardly a very optimistic quote from the Governor, either.
