Democratic Presidential Primary 2008 Reality
Edited on Sat Mar-08-08 03:28 PM by berni_mccoy

Btw, Texas now needs to be colored light purple. This data is a little out-of-date.

4. Clinton wins the deep south west and states around NY
Ohio is an interesting one and we will see what happens in Penn. I didn't know there were so many latte drinking elitists in the midwest. I never noticed it when I lived in MN, Iowa, MS and WI.

12. dmordue said "deep south west"
A more useful analysis is that Clinton won Democrats in the New West while Obama won in the Old West. Clinton is winning the bigger states with more organized party operations. Obama seems to do slightly better in places where being a Democrat has been a bigger frustration and in flyover country. Of course both enjoy regional advantages (Obama in IL, WI, Minn; Clinton in NY, Ark, Okla.) Beyond that, I don't see a trend. These truly are national campaigns in scope.

15. Sorry, missed that... thought he meant, deep south, west. You are correct.
Remember, this is a primary comparison, meant to show strength of wins.

18. *snicker* We really must stop throwing facts up in the Clinton-supporters faces
It's so painful for them to confront reality.
