Bill Clinton on Rush Limbaugh Show Day of Texas Primary
Edited on Sat Mar-08-08 03:54 PM by WillYourVoteBCounted

Bill Clinton on Rush Limbaugh Show Day of Texas Primary

EIB Guest Host While Rush Is "Sick" 3/4/2008 Mark Davis of WBAP Dallas/Ft. Worth Link for March 4 show

Mark Interviews Bill Clinton (no, really) on the Rush Limbaugh Show

Ex-President Clinton Talks to WBAP's Mark Davis

(WBAP) - Still campaigning for his wife on a critical primary election day, Ex-President Bill Clinton told
WBAP's Mark Davis that he believes Hillary Clinton will defeat Democratic rival Barack Obama on Tuesday.

Click here for the complete interview

So, Bill Clinton goes on the Rush Limbaugh show to "campaign" for his wife, a sure way to remind/inflame local republicans to vote for Hillary, as GOTV insurance for McCain.

15. Limbaugh Strategy Affected Texas AND Ohio:
Voting for Hillary - the GOP Strategy in Ohio and Texas

Edward B. Foley Director, Election Law at Law Moritz College of Law advises that

Blogs at both the Plain Dealer and Dispatch are reporting Republican cross-over votes in the Democratic candidate for
Senator Clinton on the ground that she would be an easier nominee for Senator McCain to beat.

It is unclear how widespread this phenomenon is and whether, if calculable, could make a difference in either the
statewide total popular vote or the awarding of delegates between Senators Clinton and Obama.
There is also the question whether it is legal, and if not, whether it is remediable in any way....

Rush Limbaugh: In the days running up to these last primaries, Rush Limbaugh told his national audience of conservatives to vote for Hillary Clinton

I want Hillary to stay in this, Laura. This is too good a soap opera. We need Barack Obama bloodied up politically, and it's obvious that the Republicans are not going to do it and don't have the stomach for it, as you probably know. We're getting all kinds of memos from the RNC, saying we're not going to be critical there. Mark McKinnon of McCain's campaign says he'll quit if they get critical over Obama. This is the presidency of the United States we're talking about. I want our party to win. I want the Democrats to lose. They're in the midst of tearing themselves apart right now. It is fascinating to watch, and it's all going to stop if Hillary loses. So, yeah, I'm asking people to cross over and, if they can stomach it -- I know it's a difficult thing to do, to vote for a Clinton, but it will sustain this soap opera, and it's something I think we need. It would be fun, too.

Thats disgusting, but not surprising.

The GOP's long term "hatred" of the Clintons has always been a symbiotic relationship that fed the interests of both the Clintons and the GOP at the expense of the Democratic Party.

Edited on Sat Mar-08-08 03:43 PM by wienerdoggie
the Clintons have ignored all his bashing of them in order to use his show to get Repubs to cross over, even though those stupid Repubs have no intention of voting for her in the fall. And yet, the Clintons take offense at people like David Schuster and Samantha Power. Every day I achieve new levels of disgust for this family. They constantly wink at Republicans--they and the GOP need each other, apparently.

that allowed Rush to be broadcast on Armed Forces Radio, influencing many in the military to distrust Bill Clinton.

And now this...it's like the two sides prey off each other in some bizarre game. I think this just shows that the Clintons are willing to go anywhere for votes, even if they aren't even sincerely cast for them!

32. I'm sorry. You've been fooled by the compulsive liar Limbaugh
Many others here were also fooled because they are too anxious to believe anything negative about Bill Clinton.

You can look again. The headline - EIB Guest Host While Rush Is Sick
Mark Davis of WBAP Dallas/Ft. Worth

• Mark Interviews Bill Clinton (no, really)

The headline does not say the interview was on Rush's show. It says that the purported interviewer was a guest host on Rush's show. If you follow the link, its to a local radio station where the guest host usually works. The interview was broadcast on a local radio station, not Rush Limbaugh.

Even that is dishonest though, because what you are listening to is not a real interview. Campaigns and public relations offices make tapes of sound bites they'd like to have on the air and send them out to every radio station in the state. Stations who want to get away with it just insert their own announcers voice in between the taped quotes. They make it sound like a real interview. I used to work in a PR office and it was amazing how many radio stations used the PR tapes that way.

The dead giveaways are no introduction where Clinton says the hosts name, no quick back and forth conversational banter, canned questions that a fascist talk show host with a chance to get Bill Clinton would never ask, no follow ups, no goodbye that said the hosts name or thank you for letting me on WBAP.

Please do not believe anything you read on RushLimbaugh.com. Its all lies created by propaganda masters. I follow the show and its amazing what lengths they'll go to to disinform. They are extremely clever at it. If Bill Clinton really went on the Rush Limbaugh show you'd hear about it all over the place.

46. I don't care how it happened...
...or who was interviewing.

To allow that to happen is just damn dumb, and shows the ineptitude for taking care of business.

I am done defending Bill. I have seen so much of the light over the past few months when it comes to the Clintons. It was once much honor and respect, and defending them against my RW family. No More!!!

I've seen their true colors.

FWIW, I am no Obamabot. He is too much of a Corporatist, but he's a lot better than anything we've had a chance at in decades. I was fully behind my Governer, Bill Richardson, who was the clear choice out of the beginning lineup. Nobody else could have handed McCain his ass on National Security. I would have take Edwards as a second pick. Obama is okay with me.

However, I never wanted to see Clinton in this. As my wife said, and I quote, "I would love to vote for a woman for president, but she just isn't good enough to be the first. The first one needs to be, well, the equivalent of Barak Obama, and she is NO Barak Obama."

Clearly my wife is an Obama fan.

then his show's FEED was remotely redirected out over Rush's satellite feed to the stations that broadcast him.

What? You think that Rush's timeslot was dead air for 3 hours while he was out? :eyes:

Sadly, but more for knowing what my enemy is thinking, I have been listening to Rush for 20 years - since his very first broadcast on WABC in 1988 when he booted Lynn Samuels out of her noon slot. He has had guest hosts all the time, whether they actually broadcast from the show's home station (WABC, although he broadcasts from Florida now but occasionally travels to NYC for a show once or twice a month) or broadcasting from their own studios - and it all goes out over Clear Channel stations, etc. during his slot.

55. There is no reason to believe the interview took place
on the same day the guest host was on. That's assuming there even was an interview. There wasn't. The tape is just edited in questions to a tape sent out in mass release by the Clinton campaign. Such things occur as often as newspapers run press releases.

If a wingnut radio talk show host ever got a chance to interview Clinton he'd definitely ask about the clenis the whole time. Wingnuts are obsessed with the clenis.

You sound like you are very familiar with Limbaugh and I note your screen name. You should be aware that there are only three things on Rush's show - lies, hatred, and Rush's self worship. If Bill Clinton ever went on that show you'd hear about it. Google News it. See if its reported anywhere. And they'd definitely make a bigger deal about it on the Rush website.

61. I've emailed the Clinton campaign
and asked if your story was true, this was a "canned" interview. No response yet.

If true, I expect the Clinton campaign to DISAVOW the interview.

But let's take a look at another Limbaugh-Clinton encounter, once actually between Limbaugh and Clinton.

And since there has NEVER been a denial of the story by the Clintons, one must assume the essentials are true. The story was reported in the media at the time.

This looming presence, I look up, and, golly, if it isn't former President Bill Clinton. He's got a big smile on his face, and I look up, and I imagine I was somewhat startled. I looked up, and I couldn't hear what he was saying because of the noise in there. So I'm turning my head, my left ear to him so I could hear a little bit more, and he said, "You're looking great. You're tan, fit, you look very good out there." I reached out my hand, "Mr. President, it's a pleasure to meet you." We shook hands and so forth, and he hung around for I guess two or three minutes, maybe five. I lost track of time. Then he and his party went and sat at a table behind me and to the left.

The woman I'm with is saying, "Whoa! Does this happen to you all the time?"

"Ah, yeah, constantly. I can't go anywhere."

So about ten minutes later I become aware again of another looming presence at my table, and I look up, and it's former President Bill Clinton. A second time, he has stopped at my table. The first time he stopped while walking in. The second time he actually left his table, came to my table, and he's got another guy standing with him, and the guy looks familiar, but I can't place him. I can't hear the introduction.

So I'm shaking hands and so forth, and this man is going on and on and on about how excited he is to meet me. He wanted to meet me, and the former president brought him over. When the former president told him I was there, he said, "I have to meet Mr. Limbaugh."

http://www.rushlimbaugh.com/home/letters/Rush_Meets_Former_President_Bill_Clinton.guest.html

In Clinton's shoes, I would have punched Limbaugh out. End of story. The man is scum, and yet Clinton sucks up to him.
